After two years on the road filming at cons around the US, this year was to be our victory lap, finally getting to share our finished series with our audience, and enjoying ourselves without carrying around camera gear! So we& #39;re especially sad to be missing out on this. 1/
We& #39;re among many creators who are impacted by convention cancellations. And we fully support each and every one of these cancellations. We believe it is impractical and a detriment to public safety to continue planning for large gatherings in 2020. 2/
We& #39;re geeks. We& #39;re passionate, creative AF, and used to scrapping our way through challenges. We also love science, and we& #39;re looking to the scientific community for info about when to ramp down social distancing. Everything we& #39;re being told is that we& #39;re in for a long haul. 3/
We& #39;ve made the decision to not participate in any conventions in 2020. We won& #39;t be attending @SW_Celebration @DragonCon @NY_Comic_Con @GeekGirlCon or any other con. And we& #39;re incredibly sad about this. We& #39;re losing marketing, networking, and job opportunities because of this. 4/
We& #39;re seeing a lot of folks say "if they decide to hold it, I& #39;ll go." Convention planners, please support our geek community by cancelling events scheduled in 2020 and redirecting programming to on-line spaces. Role model how seriously we should all be taking this pandemic. 5/
Fellow con goers, we& #39;re so sad to miss you this year. Please take care of yourselves & each other. Be safe. Stay strong. When we& #39;re on the other side of this, we& #39;re gonna party with you so hard. Until then, we& #39;re staying home, focusing on those in need, and geeking out on-line
