Value capture is broken. Growth in apps atop a chain does not correlate to an increasing token value. Nervos’ token ($CKB) represents scarce state space. As apps build and demand more state, demand for CKB grows. Bounded state growth drives token value.

4. Decentralization
Users interact with apps built on Nervos in a decentralized way. Storing assets on chain requires 150CKB per asset per location, driving demand for the native token. Soon, users will be able to interact with Nervos apps directly from their existing browsers.

Everything comes down to security. Nervos features primary issuance to miners (block rewards which halve every 4 years) and secondary issuance (inflation to miners, in part). Nervos can sustainability secure its network post initial block rewards.

Other chains are unable to build real, developer-focused communities within China given how it’s a very different environment vs the West. Nervos has 20+ community run groups & 50+ meetups in China in the last year.

Nervos enables anyone to build on the protocol with the underlying security of proof-of-work whose hashrate has grown ~23x to 5.35 Ph/s over the past 30 days. PoW is the most time-tested and secure consensus mechanism used today. Bitcoin’s traits, but for builders.

The protocol has 95 engaged members (51 on tech) with ex-core devs from #Bitcoin
and #Ethereum. Leadership members had past roles at Blockstream, Cryptape, Yunbi, and IBM. Advisors have roles at Beihang University, George Mason and Bitmain, among others.

Nervos has partnered with China Merchants Bank (one of the world’s largest banks) to explore #DeFi use cases on Nervos for customers and clients. Huobi ($1T in turnover) is a partner focused on the Huobi Chain to provide compliant enterprise financial services.

A $30M grants program will help drive the growth of the Nervos ecosystem. Nine grants have already been awarded to fund infrastructure level development.

Long term sustainable funding is crucial for the success of a project. A portion of Nervos secondary issuance (percent that is liquid) will be allocated towards a foundation to fund long term builders of the project.

Nervos allows developers to program with most mainstream programming languages, removing the barrier of learning a new language and targeting the ~20M existing developers worldwide. Nervos has extensive documentation, tooling & a dev-friendly community.

Secondary issuance compensates miners for $CKB that is in use storing state for protecting the network. To offset this, users are able to lock their $CKB in Nervos DAO to earn a portion of secondary issuance, offsetting inflation.
