Sammons basically has the correct take, imo. A few thoughts reading the report:

- I& #39;d heard some of the weird Nazi memorabilia rumors about Fr. Angles before, but not sexual abuse allegations

- A large number of these allegations tie back to their school in St. Marys, Kansas... https://twitter.com/EricRSammons/status/1252986112089493507">https://twitter.com/EricRSamm...
- I& #39;m lol& #39;ing a little at the fact that the SSPX staff accidentally cc& #39;d Church Militant in their email thread; the stuff they said when they thought it was private made them look really bad

- If even half of these allegations are true, the SSPX is yet another Church org with...
...clerics who abuse their power and hierarchs mismanaging abuse cases. I suppose that& #39;s the default for most religious orgs, unfortunately, but it& #39;s sad to see.

- People who prioritize the SSPX& #39;s reputation over victims are equivalent to bishops who do diocesan cover-up...
- This report shows yet again why we have to be cautious and critical of all Church authorities, including the & #39;trad& #39; ones; it only "discredits" the Society the same way mainstream clergy abusers discredit the Church as a whole.

- Overall, I feel numb. While I& #39;m angry and...
...I want justice for victims, no matter who is disgraced in the process, this is just par for the course now.

Long before becoming Catholic, I learned to disconnect my faith in God from faith in His ministers. My convictions as a Catholic remain unswayed, for better or worse. x
