. @GovTimWalz enters the room for his press briefing. As far as I can tell, only his chief of staff Chris Schmitter is wearing a face mask.

"We are smothering this issue of testing with what I would argue is talent better than anyplace on the planet," Walz says.

Walz getting into the intricacies of the diagnostic/serology testing (Scroll up in this thread for more).

He says the plan will allow for "massive surveillance testing that we're seeing works in other countries."

Walz says the plan will be a strategy to "test all symptomatic people, isolate confirmed cases and expand health surveillance."

Walz alludes to research for treating #covid19. Not sure how much that fits into this plan.

"This is not a pass that everything is back to normal and it's all easy from here on out. It's one tool in the toolbox that leads us in that direction," Walz says, stressing the need to continue social distancing and some other response measures.
