The only “secret admirer” note I’ve ever gotten was as an adult, at work, and an obvious fraud to make fun of me for reasons I can’t really fathom

I was more confused than offended. What was the end game? Force me to weigh the options of “tattling” to HR? Did they think I was stupid or lonely enough to believe it?

This is like when one of my colleagues at my last job called me “professor” behind my back for months. Buddy I’m 30 years old and an engineer. Of course I’m a fucking nerd
