hey i just woke up. did viva piñata have any blood sacrifice or am i thinking of a different game

just woke up from a dream where justin trudeau was making my team arrange ikea items on a buffet table to win a prize

anyway part of this dream was me “remembering” the viva piñata mechanic where, if you didn’t feed your piñatas enough blood or blood analog, they leave your piñata patch at night and wander into the city to sip blood from sleeping children

and i was like “wow remember the fucked up child blood mechanic in viva piñata?? can’t believe we all played that like it was normal”

the game made you watch a third party view of the piñatas creeping into the city through the countryside at night until they found a house with a child too. like it was this drawn out punishment sequence for the player

the children wouldn’t DIE. that’s over the line even for microsoft

right before i woke up i made a joke about the Goldfinger theme to Trudeau and he didn’t recognize it and i realized in the dream that he was even more of a fake coolguy than i had previously thought

this thread is like a standup bit i would do at PAX
