One day I was watching Adult Swim at 3am. A special episode of Spongebob was about to start and I was very excited about it because Spongebob is my favorite cartoon. The episode started and the intro was corrupted like jumbles of color.
Then there was text for about 1 minute. It said “If you don’t want bad luck until you’re 70 you should turn this off now. Then another text appeared – “Your choice”. The episode started and I saw Spongebob facing the corner of his home.
The camera slowly panned to Spongebob then Spongebob looked at the camere with blood shot eyes. Then there was Patrick’s house for about a minute. Then there was Patrick watching tv and Spongebob behind him holding a knife. He cut Patrick’s head off and ate his body.
The next shot showed Squidward’s house for about a minute. Squidward was sleeping and Spongebob was holding a pack of scissors. Then he cut a whole in Squidward’s body and ripped out his intestine. The Spongebob pulled a gun and shot himself.
The episode ends with Bikini Bottom on fire and a sign saying “Spongebob’s Lost Town”. Then the tv turns black and returns to an episode of Rick And Morty as if nothing happened.

After that I started getting bad luck.

I just want to start off by saying if you want an answer at the end, prepare to be disappointed. There just isn’t one.
I was an intern at Nickelodeon Studios for a year in 2005 for my degree in animation. It wasn’t paid of course, most internships aren’t, but it did have some perks beyond education. To adults it might not seem like a big one, but most kids at the time would go crazy over it.
Now, since I worked directly with the editors and animators, I got to view the new episodes days before they aired. I’ll get right to it without giving too many unnecessary details.
They had very recently made the SpongeBob movie and the entire staff was somewhat sapped of creativity so it took them longer to start up the season. But the delay lasted longer for more upsetting reasons.
There was a problem with the series 4 premiere that set everyone and everything back for several months.
Me and two other interns were in the editing room along with the lead animators and sound editors for the final cut. We received the copy that was supposed to be “Fear of a Krabby Patty” and gathered around the screen to watch.
Now, given that it isn’t final yet animators often put up a mock title card, sort of an inside joke for us, with phony, often times lewd titles, such as “How sex doesn’t work” instead of “Rock-a-bye-Bivalve” when SpongeBob and Patrick adopt a sea scallop.
Nothing particularly funny but work related chuckles. So when we saw the title card “Squidward’s Suicide” we didn’t think it more than a morbid joke.
One of the interns did a small throat laugh at it. The happy-go-lucky music plays as is normal. The story began with Squidward practicing his clarinet, hitting a few sour notes like normal.
We hear SpongeBob laughing outside and Squidward stops, yelling at him to keep it down as he has a concert that night and needs to practice. SpongeBob says okay and goes to see Sandy with Patrick.
The bubbles splash screen comes up and we see the ending of Squidward’s concert. This is when things began to seem off.
While playing, a few frames repeat themselves, but the sound doesn’t (at this point sound is synced up with animation, so, yes, that’s not common) but when he stops playing, the sound finishes as if the skip never happened.
There is slight murmuring in the crowd before they begin to boo him. Not normal cartoon booing that is common in the show, but you could very clearly hear malice in it. Squidward’s in full frame and looks visibly afraid.
The shot goes to the crowd, with SpongeBob in center frame, and he too is booing, very much unlike him. That isn’t the oddest thing, though. What is odd is everyone had hyper realistic eyes. Very detailed.
Clearly not shots of real people’s eyes, but something a bit more real than CGI. The pupils were red. Some of us looked at each other, obviously confused, but since we weren’t the writers, we didn’t question its appeal to children yet.
The shot goes to Squidward sitting on the edge of his bed, looking very forlorn. The view out of his porthole window is of a night sky so it isn’t very long after the concert. The unsettling part is at this point there is no sound.
Literally no sound. Not even the feedback from the speakers in the room. It’s as if the speakers were turned off, though their status showed them working perfectly. He just sat there, blinking, in this silence for about 30 seconds, then he started to sob softly.
He put his hands (tentacles) over his eyes and cried quietly for a full minute more, all the while a sound in the background very slowly growing from nothing to barely audible. It sounded like a slight breeze through a forest.
The screen slowly begins to zoom in on his face. By slow I mean it’s only noticeable if you look at shots 10 seconds apart side by side. His sobbing gets louder, more full of hurt and anger.
The screen then twitches a bit, as if it twists in on itself, for a split second then back to normal. The wind-through-the-trees sound gets slowly louder and more severe, as if a storm is brewing somewhere.
The eerie part is this sound, and Squidward’s sobbing, sounded real, as if the sound wasn’t coming from the speakers but as if the speakers were holes the sound was coming through from the other side.
As good as sound as the studio likes to have, they don’t purchase the equipment to be that good to produce sound of that quality.
Below the sound of the wind and sobbing, very faint, something sounded like laughing. It came at odd intervals and never lasted more than a second so you had a hard time pinning it (we watched this show twice, — (cont.)
(cont.) — so pardon me if things sound too specific but I’ve had time to think about them). After 30 seconds of this, the screen blurred and twitched violently and something flashed over the screen, as if a single frame was replaced.
The lead animation editor paused and rewound frame by frame. What we saw was horrible. It was a still photo of a dead child. He couldn’t have been more than 6. The face was mangled and bloodied, one eye dangling over his upturned face, popped.
He was naked down to his underwear, his stomach crudely cut open and his entrails laying beside him. He was laying on some pavement that was probably a road.
The most upsetting part was that there was a shadow of the photographer. There was no crime tape, no evidence tags or markers, and the angle was completely off for a shot designed to be evidence. It would seem the photographer was the person responsible for the child’s death.
We were of course mortified, but pressed on, hoping that it was just a sick joke.

The screen flipped back to Squidward, still sobbing, louder than before, and half body in frame. There was now what appeard to be blood running down his face from his eyes.
The blood was also done in a hyper realistic style, looking as if you touched it you’d get blood on your fingers. The wind sounded now as if it were that of a gale blowing through the forest; there were even snapping sounds of branches.
The laughing, a deep baritone, lasting at longer intervals and coming more frequently. After about 20 seconds, the screen again twisted and showed a single frame photo.
The editor was reluctant to go back, we all were, but he knew he had to. This time the photo was that of what appeared to be a little girl, no older than the first child. She was laying on her stomach, her barrettes in a pool of blood next to her.
Her left eye was too popped out and popped, naked except for underpants. Her entrails were piled on top of her above another crude cut along her back. Again the body was on the street and the photographer’s shadow was visible, very similar in size and shape to the first.
I had to choke back vomit and one intern, the only female in the room, ran out. The show resumed.

About 5 seconds after this second photo played, Squidward went silent, as did all sound, like it was when this scene started.
He put his tentacles down and his eyes were now done in hyper realism like the others were in the beginning of this episode. They were bleeding, bloodshot, and pulsating. He just stared at the screen, as if watching the viewer.
After about 10 seconds, he started sobbing, this time not covering his eyes. The sound was piercing and loud, and most fear inducing of all is his sobbing was mixed with screams.
Tears and blood were dripping down his face at a heavy rate. The wind sound came back, and so did the deep voiced laughing, and this time the still photo lasted for a good 5 frames.
The animator was able to stop it on the 4th and backed up. This time the photo was of a boy, about the same age, but this time the scene was different.
The entrails were just being pulled out from a stomach wound by a large hand, the right eye popped and dangling, blood trickling down it. The animator proceeded. It was hard to believe, but the next one was different but we couldn’t tell what.
He went on to the next, same thing. He want back to the first and played them quicker and I lost it. I vomited on the floor, the animating and sound editors gasping at the screen.
The 5 frames were not as if they were 5 different photos, they were played out as if they were frames from a video. We saw the hand slowly lift out the guts, we saw the kid’s eyes focus on it, we even saw two frames of the kid beginning to blink.
The lead sound editor told us to stop, he had to call in the creator to see this. Mr. Hillenburg arrived within about 15 minutes. He was confused as to why he was called down there, so the editor just continued the episode.
Once the few frames were shown, all screaming, all sound again stopped. Squidward was just staring at the viewer, full frame of the face, for about 3 seconds. The shot quickly panned out and that deep voice said “DO IT” and we see in Squidward’s hands a shotgun.
He immediately puts the gun in his mouth and pulls the trigger. Realistic blood and brain matter splatters the wall behind him, and his bed, and he flies back with the force.
The last 5 seconds of this episode show his body on the bed, on his side, one eye dangling on what’s left of his head above the floor, staring blankly at it. Then the episode ends.
Mr. Hillenburg is obviously angry at this. He demanded to know what the heck was going on. Most people left the room at this point, so it was just a handful of us to watch it again.
Viewing the episode twice only served to imprint the entirety of it in my mind and cause me horrible nightmares. I’m sorry I stayed.
The only theory we could think of was the file was edited by someone in the chain from the drawing studio to here. The CTO was called in to analyze when it happened. The analysis of the file did show it was edited over by new material.
However, the timestamp of it was a mere 24 seconds before we began viewing it. All equipment involved was examined for foreign software and hardware as well as glitches, as if the time stamp may have glitched and showed the wrong time, but everything checked out fine.
We don’t know what happened and to this day nobody does.

There was an investigation due to the nature of the photos, but nothing came of it. No child seen was identified and no clues were gathered from the data involved nor physical clues in the photos.
I never believed in unexplainable phenomena before, but now that I have something happen and can’t prove anything about it beyond anecdotal evidence, I think twice about things.

I am sure many have heard of Lost Episode Creepypastas. They are usually an incredibly graphic episode that conveys such fear for children that it was never aired, though someone managed to sneak a viewing or owns one of the tapes.
The most popular example of this is Squidward's Suicide, in which Squidward commits suicide, hence the title.

Of course all of these Creepypastas are false. Yet, I remember a SpongeBob episode that was altered heavily, but still remains in circulation today.
This is One Coarse Meal, from season 7. In the episode Mr. Krabs finds out that Plankton is horrified of whales, and uses it to his advantage. This is one of the least popular episodes of the show due to the dark nature of the episode, even after the episode was heavily altered.
Now how would I have seen this episode before it was edited? It’s simple really. This is one of the seven SpongeBob episodes that was revealed on the internet before it aired on TV.
Always a big fan of the show I was excited of the idea of having a SpongeBob episode premier on the internet before television. I rapidly reloaded The Nick page, and finally the episode came up. It was known as “Plankton Got Served”, though it was eventually changed.
Most of the episode is identical to the one that is circulated today. Plankton manages to break into the Krusty Krab and ties up Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob. As he is about to finally get the secret formula from SpongeBob, Mr. Krab’s daughter, Pearl walks in.
This terrifies Plankton and causes him to run out. Plankton later claims his ancestors were eaten by whales and that is why he fears them so.
Mr. Krabs realizes this fear that Plankton has and decides to use it against him. He dresses up as his daughter and begins to follow Plankton around, frightening him. Plankton decides he can no longer take it and decides to make the ultimate decision.
Plankton decides to commit suicide. Yes, this is still in the show today, you are free to watch it.

Plankton waits for the bus, as he lies in the street, waiting to get run over. That is when SpongeBob comes over to try to convince him to continue his existence.
This is where the alteration in the two versions begins. Plankton fails to heed SpongeBob’s words, and remains there. In the altered version that was shown, SpongeBob tells Plankton that it was Mr. Krabs as Pearl the entire time, and he gets up.
In another altered version SpongeBob says the same things, but Plankton refuses to believe him. SpongeBob decides that the only thing he can do to show him the truth is to drag Mr. Krabs outside. Soon after he leaves the typical red bus comes speeding along.
Plankton sits up, and watches it hit him as everything fades to darkness.

Plankton finds himself standing on a single platform, overlooking darkness. In the darkness he sees whales, all looking up at him.
There are members of his family he can faintly make out, calling for him to jump down. Plankton looks above and sees a light, a light he can scarcely believe. This would seem to represent Heaven and Hell.
Plankton, resigned to his fate, jumps and plunges down into the darkness. This is when the episode ends, and the traditional credits for the show are shown, parallel to Plankton’s descent into the darkness.
Now some of you may say you saw the show as soon as it came available online. Apparently not fast enough. After seeing the episode online, I reloaded the page to find the altered version shown on the website. I kept reloading, curious of how I had seen the first version.
The only answer I can imagine for my viewing of the original episode was that the creators uploaded the wrong file, and moments after uploading it recognized such. I may be the only one who saw this version.
I truly do not know the sick ambitions the creators of SpongeBob had in mind with this episode. Why would a kid’s show portray death? Why would a kid’s show portray Heaven and Hell?

Nonetheless the unaltered version is impossible to find.
I’ve searched as hard as I can, and I have failed to find anything legitimate about the episode I had seen. People had told me that I had seen only the altered version, and they too were surprised of the dark themes portrayed in the episode. Nonetheless I know what I saw.
I know people would fail to believe me. People will accuse me of just trying to scare people. People would say I have no evidence. There are no photos. There is no video evidence of this occurrence. I only saw it once, and it never occurred to me to do such.
I know the truth, and I want other people to know as well. Maybe, maybe someone out there saw this episode as well as I and can confirm it. Until then, I hope you enjoyed reading about my experience.

Introduction

Have you ever wondered what happens if the creators of Spongebob Squarepants got rid of Gary the Snail? The creators made a test episode called “Goodbye Gary,” an episode not supposed to be released to the public.
My dad works at Nickelodeon studios, and mainly worked on “Spongebob” and “The Loud House,” but sometimes worked on other shows. “Goodbye Gary” was darker than the usual Spongebob standards.
Since my dad worked at Nick studios, he would sometimes bring home DvDs of the newer episodes and some that were test episodes, so he could edit them, to see if there were any errors in the episode, or to change anything that seemed wrong.
When he got home, he put a DvD on the kitchen counter, and told me that he was running out for a while. He never mentioned the DvD, mostly because it looked like he was in a hurry.
After he left, I grabbed the DvD off the counter, put it in my DvD player, and sat on my chair in my room to watch the episode.

I was not ready for what I was about to watch.
The Episode

The episode started out with a title card with a pet bowl with the name “GARY” and above it read “Goodbye,” which read out “Goodbye GARY.” Sad violin music was playing in the background.
Beginning “credits” rolled normally, and then it went to a shot of a pet hospital. The camera zooms in on the hospital, and goes to a shot of Spongebob sitting in, what looked like, some kind of waiting room. He had bags under his eyes and looks nervous.
The episode went into a flashback scene, and showed Spongebob watching TV in his living room. A loud noise was heard from the kitchen. He got up and walked into the kitchen. He gasped and ran to the source of the noise. It was Gary, foam coming from his mouth.
He was having a seizure. He looked over to where he found Gary, and saw the bowl, upside down, with brown snail food all over the kitchen floor. The last part of the flashback scene, was Spongebob running out of his Pineapple house, Gary in his arms.
The camera goes back to the waiting room, with Spongebob still sitting with bags under his with a nervous expression. A fish in a doctor's coat came out and walks to Spongebob. “Is Gary alright, doctor?” Spongebob says, trying not to stutter.
“The snail food that he congested had rat poison inside of it. He had ate too much of it and died. I’m sorry, Spongebob,” The doctor says in a depressed voice, putting a fin on Spongebob’s shoulder.
Spongebob begins to yell "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" So loud, that it almost made me go deaf. While this happened, the camera panned outside of the hospital.

The screen faded to black.
The screen came back, to Spongebob sitting in his house, with Sandy and Patrick with a couple of Krabby Patties. But, something was different about Spongebob. His skin was darker like it was fading.

“Hey Sandy,” Patrick began, “Don’t you think Spongebob looks….different?”
“He lost Gary.” Sandy said, “Give him some time. Here, Spongebob.” she gave Spongebob a Krabby Patty. “This’ll cheer you up for sure!”

As Sandy put the Krabby Patty in SpongeBob's hand, it switched to Spongebob’s perspective and showed the patty in his hand.
It slowly morphed into a small Gary.

“Meow,” the Gary in Spongebob’s imagination said.

It switched out of Spongebob’s perspective, tears started dripping from his eyes and he said, "Oh Gary! I'm so sorry! I wish you didn't get poisoned!"
As he was saying this, Sandy and Patrick tried to tell him to be quiet, but they failed miserably. Squidward bursted through the door and screamed,

“Will you cut it out?!”

SpongeBob then went silent. Patrick got up and yelled at Squidward.
“Do you have any idea what happened?! Gary died last week! Spongebob is sad about it and you come in here to silence him?!” That was very unlike Patrick’s character.
Squidward came back at Patrick, yelling at him. “Gary died? Why couldn’t it be SPONGEBOB who died?! The world would be a lot calmer and I would be happier then I am now! Or why couldn’t it be YOU who died, Patrick??!! We have enough retards in Bikini Bottom alone!!”
That line was very dark, especially for Squidward. They’ve never said retard in the show before.

After he said that, SpongeBob got up from his chair.

This is where it went downhill fast.
“If you don’t get the HELL out of my house right now, Squidward… I'm going to kill you!!” Spongebob screamed at Squidward, acting completely serious. Squidward didn’t seem scared of him screaming.
“Oh yeah, what are you going to do, hit me with your TEARS?” Squidward said, laughing after he said that.

Spongebob finally got triggered.

SpongeBob started running angrily towards Squidward, leaped up into the air, and jumping onto him.
He started punching Squidward in the face, clawing at him. Sandy and Patrick tried to get Spongebob off of him, but he just kept attacking him, pushing the two away when they tried to pull him off. Sandy threw a rolling pin at Spongebob, knocking him off of Squidward.
When Spongebob got punched, a realistic punch sound effect played.

Squidward had a bruised nose, scratch marks all over his body, pieces of his shirt torn off, and a black eye. Squidward then yelled, “Get away from me you psychopathic sponge!” and ran out of the pineapple house.
He ran into his own house and boarded the entire building up. After this was over SpongeBob then went ran upstairs to his room while panting with anger, and slammed the door shut. Sandy and Patrick ran upstairs and Sandy told him to open his door.
Spongebob then said, "No, Sandy! I will stay in my room forever!" Sandy just told Patrick, “We should probably leave.” He agreed and they left. A time card appeared reading, “Two weeks later” and then it transitioned to Sandy and Squidward in front of Spongebob’s house.
Squidward’s nose was finally healed from the bruising, but he still had some injuries on his body.

“You think Spongebob will be okay with me being here, Sandy?” Squidward said in a calm voice.
“Yeah, Squidward. He’s probably over it by now. Maybe he's not so worked up like last time,” Sandy said.

“But he hasn’t been to work in 3 weeks. I’m not sure about this, Sandy,” he said. Sandy knocked on the door, but it slowly creaked open.
The living room was dark, with the only light being the static of the television screen. “Spongebob?” Squidward yelled.

No response.

“Hey Squarepants! You still here?” Sandy yelled.

Still no response.

“He’s probably still asleep.” said Squidward.
“At 3:30 PM on a Tuesday?” Sandy asked.

They decided to go upstairs to see if he was in his room. “Hey Squarepants! Are you in here?!” Sandy said. Once again, no response.

Squidward knocked on the door.

No response.

“Open the door, Squidward.” Sandy said.
Squidward did as she said. When he opened the door, he gasped and froze. “What is it Squidward?” Sandy said, very confused. Squidward started stuttering, but finally got the word out. “Spongebob!!” Sandy looked into the room and screamed, “Oh My God! Spongebob!!”
The camera panned to a shot of SpongeBob lying dead on his bed with a butcher knife in his forehead. He was bleeding hyper realistic blood from where he got stabbed in.

That was the final shot of the episode, as the credits rolled.

I was in shock.
I didn’t know what to think. Was this supposed to be an actual episode? I had no idea what to say. I took the DvD out of the player and put it back where it was before. My dad never found out that I watched the DvD.
I believe that Spongebob episode is an alternative version of the current running episode, “Gary Come Home.”

https://geosheas-lost-episodes.fandom.com/wiki/Squidward%27s_Suicide_(Alternate_Version)
Well, it has been a couple of years since the release of the Scottish animator, Andrew Skinner. He was most notoriously known for the creation of "The Five Tapes", which included the infamous, "Squidward's Suicide". "How do you know so much?" you may ask.
Well, I was part of the investigation team that reviewed the strange occurrences during the viewing of the tape "Fear of The Krabby Patty" in Nickelodeon Studios. We later confiscated the alleged tape and locked it away in the vault.
Around the year of 2012, Nickelodeon contacted me around the end of April. They said they wanted to send me a copy of their newly premiered episode, "Are You Happy Now?". I was a bit confused but I accepted their gift. Almost a month later, the tape came in the mail at my office.
It came in an unmarked box, with the exception of a "fragile" sticker. The box looked like it was tampered with because the flaps of the box were torn off. I brushed this off as a minor problem with the box during its shipping process.
I figured I would watch it when the work day was finished as I was very busy that day. As soon as I finished my work, I went into my office to take the box.
When I arrived at my home, I was eager-ish to see the new episode. I went to my shed to find my old VHS player since Nick had sent me a VHS copy rather than the DVD copy. I found it behind some old dusty boxes and I rushed be inside my house.
I had a bit of trouble connecting it to my television, but I finally did it. I grabbed the tape from the box and popped it inside the player. The television flickered to life. The regular SpongeBob SquarePants intro played.
Then the title card, "Are You Happy Now?" appeared on screen. The title card was followed by the credits, but then it glitched out. The television screen displayed a test bar screen for a couple of seconds, then a new title card came up on the screen.
It read, "Squidward's Suicide". The title card was way different than the one that was on the "Fear of The Krabby Patty" tape. The letters had a white glow to them. The background was a dark crimson color rather than the dark grayish color of the original title card.
During the title card, there was absolutely no audio, not even a slight static noise. After, the title card faded from the screen, then happy music played while the television displayed a black screen.
A couple seconds in, the bubble transition wipes the black screen, then the episode starts.
It starts off with a still shot of Squidward's house. It was rather cloudy outside. The camera then zooms into the house's porthole window. It then shows Squidward, who was getting ready to go to a concert with SpongeBob as in "Are You Happy Now?".
But what puzzled me was that the episode took place at the Krusty Krab not Squidward's house. SpongeBob says something to Squidward, but for some reason, the audio is not played. The bubbles come up and it transitions to a concert stage.
The orchestra on stage were warming up before the concert. They sounded sloppy and unorganized. The shot then goes to Squidward who looks somewhat pale. SpongeBob then turns to him and says something, but the audio, once again does not play.
The concert then begins, halfway during the concert, one of the violin playing fish gets his bow stuck on the strings, similar to a bow and arrow, the violin bow flies and penetrates Squidward's eye. A small amount of blood starts to ooze out of his eye socket.
The blood is barely noticeable. SpongeBob then tells Squidward, "Oops, that was a sour note". Squidward responds with, "This is not one of my happiest memories". It then goes to the outside of the art museum, but then it quickly cuts to a still shot of Squidward's house.
The audio that would normally play during the art museum seen is slightly audible, but it is soon drowned out by a static noise. The shot zooms out and it shows SpongeBob knocking at Squidward's door, but no one responds.
An abrupt title card saying, "Two Weeks Later..." appears and it shows the same still shot of Squidward's house, but it zooms into the porthole window.
Squidward was sitting on his bed looking quite forlorn. An audio clip from Squidward, which sounded really crude played: "I can't seem to get happy". Squidward just sits there looking at the floor. The camera then abruptly cuts to a view of the porthole window.
It was dark and it was raining slightly outside. Then it jump cuts back to Squidward who is now sobbing quietly, it was barely audible. He covers his eyes with his tentacles. His sobbing gets louder and more painful.
After a while, Squidward then uncovers his eyes, they looked bloodshot and they were glistening with tears. He then covers his face again.
The shot suddenly decays and it shows real life footage of a someone walking down a stone path, since only the person in the footage was holding the camera, I had no idea who it was.
The person starts talking but the audio is distorted and there is a sound which appeared to be wind blowing through trees. The person finally arrives at a large hole. The person points the camera down into the hole.
There among the dirt were a few decayed corpses of about two children and a corpse of a woman. The footage then cuts off and it returns back to the cartoon.
Squidward was still sitting on his bed but the atmosphere appeared to be darker. His sobbing was a bit louder than before. He uncovers his eyes once again, on his tentacles and around his eyes was blood. It looked somewhat real, but in a more cartoonish style.
Squidward's crying suddenly becomes ear piercingly loud. In the mix of the crying there was a deep laughter coming at weird intervals. There was also a slight murmur in the background. The sobbing abruptly stops and Squidward then stares into the camera.
The screen twists on itself, and it displays a new scene. Squidward is now in the attic. It is very dark and you can barely even see him. Squidward then climbs on a ladder and he proceeds to hangs a rope around a wooden beam.
He puts then rope around his neck and he says in a distorted voice, "Maybe this'll help...". He kicks the ladder down and loud choking noises are heard. The choking sounded realistic as if someone was actually choking. Squidward squirms around then he suddenly becomes limp.
His corpse slowly sways back and forth. The camera then slowly zooms out of Squidward's house. Loud laughter can be heard along with screams and loud crying. The last shot was a still of Squidward's house in complete darkness.
The darkness slowly swallows Squidward's house and the tape abruptly ends.

After that I took the tape to the investigation office.
After a few days of examining the tape, we concluded that Andrew Skinner had edited over the tape with new content while it was being shipped here, thus explaining the re-taped box. The footage in the episode was analyzed but we couldn't figure out where this was filmed.
The FBI immediately called for a massive search for Skinner, but nothing came of it. The tape was taken and stored in the vault along with all of Skinner's sadistic tapes. To this very day, Andrew Skinner is still out there...somewhere.

— this is not considered a lost episode but I decided to include it here because this episode is another example of unusual work of Nickelodeon.

In the year of 2006, an extremely disturbing episode of SpongeBob aired on Nickelodeon’s NickToons block at 1:34 o’clock in the middle of the night.

Not very many people were up that late watching NickToons, but those who were were disturbed by what they saw.
The name of the episode was "Sandy's Revenge". It started out with SpongeBob is walking very gloomily towards Sandy’s treedome. His eyes are bloodshot as if he had been crying. SpongeBob finally arrives at Sandy’s door after five minutes and begins to slowly knock.
Sandy answers after the fifth knock, and she too is looking depressed like SpongeBob. Sandy lets SpongeBob in, and shuts the door and locks it. “Thanks, for coming, Sp-SpongeBob.” Sandy says looking very downcast. She leads SpongeBob into her tree, without saying another word.
SpongeBob opens his mouth as if he is about to say something, but stops himself as soon as he starts.

Suddenly, Sandy lunges at SpongeBob and strangles him to death. “Sandy, what are you doing!” SpongeBob manages to choke out.
A few minutes later, Sandy ties SpongeBob’s dead body to a wooden board, and throws SpongeBob out the tree. Suddenly, Sandy seems like she is a psycho. She begins to scream wildly, as she runs to her door and pulls it down.
Inside of the door is a power drill, and she gets it and runs outside of her treedome, terrified screaming is heard in the background. Squidward is seen lying down on the floor.
This is the last scene in the episode, as Squidward picks up a fork and running to find Sandy. Sandy however chokes Squidward with the fork and the episode comes to an end.
Most people who have watched this episode claim that they see a squirrel in a suit outside of their window, no matter who they are or where they live...

This image was taken from a split second frame in a corrupted bootleg of the Spongebob episode called 'Dumped.'

Other than the image, the rest of the video is comprised of incomprehensible jumbles of colors, static, or just black screens.
The audio seems to be a heavily distorted version of the audio from the original episode, with loud, droning buzzes occasionally interrupting it.

The bootleg tape itself was found by a group of 5 urban exploring teenagers in a trash can within an abandoned mental institution.
Of these 5 individuals, 2 have committed suicide, 1 has gone missing, 1 refuses to comment on the tape, and the last hastily agreed to give paranormal investigators the tape shortly after being interviewed about the suicide and disappearances of the other 3 people.
The current whereabouts of the tape are unknown, and many who stare at this image for a long enough period of time claim to see Spongebob blink...

The teenager that has gone missing was found dead in a dust bin a year later after the discovery of the tape.
There is a second version of this story and here it goes:

As you may know, the popular show "SpongeBob SquarePants" has been running for a long time. However, October 7th, 2003 and October 21st, 2003 episode 34 was accidentally released one week before it was scheduled to.
It was also known to some around the office the primary writer had been sick with the flu, and instead of going on to make episode 34, the show was supposed to replay episode 2.
At 5:00am eastern, people reported a very disturbing new episode premiering on Nickelodeon - some children were unfortunate enough to see it.

Apparently the quality of the episode was mediocre when held to the regular standards.
Animation was choppy, sound was constricted and very muffled. Reports of a line running up and down, similar to a crappy VHS tape were received. Scenery was described as "overwhelmingly dark and depressing without changing props and other background objects; stormy looking."
Characters also behaved oddly. Instead of the normal goofy, hi-jinks inspired personalities, viewers complained they seemed extremely agitated, gratuitously hateful toward each other, and constantly about to begin sobbing after the lines.
The episode was called "Dumped"

— this one's s lost episode, from what I know

Reference: https://geosheas-lost-episodes.fandom.com/wiki/SpongeBob_SquarePants:_the_Lost_Episode:_Haunted_DVD
I just want to start off by saying if you want an answer at the end, prepared to be disappointed. There just isn't one.

SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated comedy television series created by marine science educator and animator Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon.
The series chronicles the adventures and endeavors of the title character and his aquatic friends in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom.

The note that I found in the DVD case.
I happen to be a fan of the show myself, and watch it a lot of times. It was sad that Stephen Hillenburg, the show's creator passed away of ALS in November of 2018 at the age of 57. As of 2019, there have been 248 episodes, which feels like a lot.
But no one knows that there is an episode 0 that exists. No one has seen this "lost" episode because you can barely find any info on it. But I know all about this episode 0.
Now, since this worked directly with the editors and animators, I got to watch the episode on a disc before it aired. I'll get right to it without giving too many unnecessary details. But the delay lasted longer for more upsetting reasons.
There was a problem with the series 13 premiere that set everyone and everything back for several months. I got a call from Paul Tibbit, another worker on SpongeBob, and he said the weirdest thing I have heard.
"Sir, we are delivering you a disc of SpongeBob SquarePants so you can view it and tell us your opinion on it".
I asked him what that meant, and he replied with saying that after I watched the episode, i'd tell them to rework the episode to tell them to remake the episode with a better story. I got the disc in the mail 2 weeks later, and the package was standing on my porch.
It had a note written in German. I couldn't make out what it says, since I don't speak the language. The DVD came in a case saying SpongeBob Episode 0: SpongeBob 666. I assumed it was a typo and put the disc in the DVD player.
The DVD started. It had the Paramount and Nickelodeon logos when the DVD was put into the player.

It then showed the SpongeBob intro, and the intro played normally. But when SpongeBob plays the flute, there was mega ultra hyper realistic juicy blood and he died.
The title card said SpongeBob Number 666 with some spanish text. The episode began with static for 1 second, and showed a bunch of codes of the characters. It was like the type of text you use to type, but the text forms an image. ASCII art is what it is called.
It showed characters such as Squiward, Sandy, Patrick, and Gary. Then it cut to static.
As the static played, you can hear SpongeBob's laugh at the 3 second mark, then the Fun Song, but with distorted audio, then the Campfire Song, also with Distorted audio, then The Jellyfishing Song, but also with the distorted audio, and lastly, the Sandy I wanna go Home song,
also with distorted audio. Then, the episode officially started. Something went wrong, though. The episode started with SpongeBob walking to Sandy's house. Sandy was trying to put a flag on top of her house.
SpongeBob asked her what she was doing, and she replied by saying that she was putting a flag on her Treedome. SpongeBob then shrugged and walked away. No, it wasn't a Cylon on the other end of the screen, but there was something lacking in the SpongeBobs voice.
The rest of the scene is comprised of incomprehensible jumbles of colors, static, or just black screens. This lasted for about a minute. The next scene showed SpongeBob and Patrick at Jellyfish Fields. Patrick then got stung by a Jellyfish.
Then SpongeBob Brutally murdered Patrick with it. After he did, Patrick was on the ground dead. SpongeBob cheered of happiness, but he turned evil and he had a knife in his hands. He then went to the Krusty Krab. SpongeBob was standing in front of The Krusty Krab.
"There it is.... the finest eating establishment that I will destroy!" SpongeBob said. He walked inside and saw Mr. Krabs standing in front of him. "SpongeBob, why are you late?" he asked. SpongeBob replied with "I was out killing Patrick, and now it's time to kill you!"
He then stabbed Mr. Krabs a bunch of times. There was a "Thnk" noise and blood began to leak from a wound in middle of Mr. Krabs's chest. He then chopped up all of Mr Krabs's body parts. He was bleeding in pain. Then it cut to a scene of his corpse. It lasted for 30 seconds.
SpongeBob then went to Squidward's house. When the camera cut to the camera cut to Squidward's house, you could hear the I'm the Map song playing, but the song was in multiple languages, so it was harder to understand. I paused the movie, because I needed to take a piss.
When I came back from the bathroom, the phone was ringing. I answered it. It was Paul Tibbit. He told me not to look inside the case, because there was a talking map. What is this? Dora the Explorer? No! It's not Dora the Freaking Excraper. I unpaused the disc.
SpongeBob was knocking at the door. Squidward bursted through the door and screamed,“If you don’t get the HELL out of my house right now, i'm going to kill you!!" SpongeBob replied with "How would you like it if I killed you?"
Then he brutally beat up Squidward, and he stabbed him in the neck. His eyes were black and they were bleeding senselessly. Oddly, in the scenes where he has a knife, his hand looks real.
Then, he went to the Chum Bucket. He saw Plankton and Karen in there. Plankton said "SpongeBob, what the hell happened?" SpongeBob replied with "I'm on a killing spree, and you're next!" He then pulled out a shot gun and murdered Plankton and Karen who had bullet holes in them.
"That's what your asses get!" SpongeBob said. Surprisingly, this was one of the few scenes where SpongeBob's hand was cartoonish instead of real. Then it showed the Plankton image from the Rock Motto Creepypasta.
Then SpongeBob was standing outside of Squidward's house saying "I only have 9 more people to kill." He stared into the camera with hyper realistic eyes. The sky then turned blood red. SpongeBob suddenly heard loud screaming. “He’ll take your eyes!”
He said. “He’ll take your eyes!”

The screen became staticky, but through that static, it showed Mr. Krabs skipping rope with his own eyes.
It then cut to black for a second, then showed SpongeBob staring off into a black sky with a giant, hyper realistic Squidward looking back at him.

He then went to Mrs. Puff's Boating School, to kill Mrs. Puff.
Mrs. Puff said, "SpongeBob, what the crap are you doing with that knife?!" SpongeBob replied by saying. "You never gave me my boating license, so now you MUST die!"
Then SpongeBob brutally murdered Mrs. Puff senselessly! She was permanently dead at the next second. "What the shit even is this?" I asked to myself.

SpongeBob then went to his Mom and Dad's house. Their real names are Harold and Margaret.
In the scene, Margaret said, "Where is that darn remote?" Harold replied with, "I thought I put it right here!" Just then, SpongeBob jumped out and he brutally murdered both of his parents. "Hell yes! They're finally dead permanently!"
He then went to Mr. Krabs's anchor house. This was weird, as Mr. Krabs was already dead. Then I realized, that he was coming for Pearl. He saw Pearl in the house. She looked pretty beat up, her hair was missing, she had many hols in her face, and she had 2 letters on her shirt.
Instead of a P, like it normally was, the 2 letters were F and U.

Pearl said in a demonic voice, "What he hell do you want you bastard?" SpongeBob said, "I am going to kill you retard! Prepare to die!" He then shoots Pearl, and her corpse rots and vanishes.
SpongeBob then went back to his house. He then killed Gary the snail. His body was a rotting corpse. Then, he went to go kill Sandy. Sandy was inside her house. He walked inside. He then hid behind the Treedome. Then Sandy said "SpongeBob, why do you have a gun and a knife?"
SpongeBob said "Cause I am going to kill you!" Then he shoots Sandy. and brutally murders her. She then becomes a zombie, but SpongeBob kills her permanently.

Then SpongeBob builds a nuclear bomb, and blows up the last of Bikini Bottom.
This had killed everyone else, like Larry the Lobster, MermaidMan, BarnacleBoy, Man Ray, The Dirty Bubble, The Tattletale Strangler, The Flying Dutchman, Flats the Flounder, Bubble Bass, Fred, Tom, Nat Peterson, King Neptune, Mindy, and Old Man Jenkins.
Then, there was one last scene after, that scared the living daylights out of me. It was SpongeBob, but his eyes were red, and his eye sockets were black.
He was bouncing up and down, while a demonic voice said "I did not hate god or christ, but the merely hate the god and christ of the people I hated". Then the SpongeBob credits played. While they played, Paul Tibbit called me and asked me how the episode was.
I said it was horrible and said that it needed to be reworked on immediately. I sent the disc back to Paul Tibbit, and he's currently reworking on the episode.
At least the DVD is now out of my possession. There as blood, gore, and death, which isn't really allowed in SpongeBob. This episode scared the living shit out of me. I couldn't sleep because of the episode.
But this does mean that I WILL still like SpongeBob SquarePants, since I liked it for years.

But this episode is now gone forever as Paul Tibbit called me and told me he destroyed it. Whatever you do, do not watch anything related to episode 0 of SpongeBob.
It will scare you. Only watch the 2 movies, and the Series.

The End!

One day I was watching Spongebob reruns on Nickelodeon when a promo showed up. It said "Are you ready kids? Well you better be, because a new Spongebob episode is about to air. Don't change the channel!" I was excited. A new Spongebob episode?
I waited for a while, and the episode came on. The title card read "Squidward gets shot." I was confused at first. Squidward gets shot? Who would name an episode that? Then it showed a first person view of a camera being held by Spongebob.
He was walking to Squidward's house. Spongebob knocked on the door and the audio became muffled, like it was nearly impossible to hear. However, I was able to make out the words, "Come over." And "No Spongebob!" The scene then cut to Squidward walking into Spongebob's house.
Squidward looked frightened, and it would soon become evident why. Spongebob panned the camera down to his hand, showing that he was holding a knife. This freaked me out a lot, considering how nice Spongebob usually is.
Spongebob then sat Squidward down on the sofa and pretended to get him a drink. However he sits the knife down on the kitchen counter and instead grabbed a gun that he pulled out of the kitchen cabinet. He then slowly sneaks into the living room. Squidward was watching T.V..
Spongebob then aimed the gun straight at Squidward's head, and pulled the trigger. Immediately, blood and brain matter flew everywhere. As soon as this happened, the screen went to black. The T.V. glitched up. It was just plain static.
After at least 4 minutes of this, it cut back to the regular Nickelodeon programming. To say the least, I was horrified. Who would make an episode like this? A psychopath. That's who. I hope whoever made this abomination gets thrown straight into a jailhouse.

Does anyone remember the show Spongebob Squarepants? It's a show about animal creatures by names of Spongebob, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Krabs, Ms. Puff, Pearl, Sandy Cheeks, Larry the lobster and many other characters.
There was a lost episode called, "Two Girls One Cup." I was waiting for a new Spongebob episode to air. The intro was normal. Once it ended the title card popped up. It looked mature for a Spongebob episode. For that the title card read "Two Girls One Cup."
The background image was the title card background from the episode, "To Love A Patty." It was in white font but the usual style of font. The start credits rolled normally.
They said,
"Written By
Paul Tibbit
Stephan Hillenburg

Storyboarder
Stephan Hillenburg

Storyboard Director
Paul Tibbit

Creative Director
Vincent Waller

Animation Director
Andrew Overtoom

Supervising Director
Paul Tibbit."
The music during the said title card was some kind of romantic music. The episode started with something really gross. Ms. Puff and Pearl were for some reason is having sex. Heck they were naked at the time but yes Pearl was naked in my favourite episode, "Feral Friends."
"Hey put you're clothes back on!" I said to the TV. And then they put they're clothes back on. Next they go to Spongebob's house and then they took him back to Mr. Krabs's house.
Then they put every single last one of their clothes off again then they started pissing on Spongebob. Spongebob felt the piss in his mouth which is why he woke up.
"Ew What Are You Doing That For?" Spongebob said, spitting to get the liquid out his mouth but he vomited just by the taste of it. At this point I paused the episode to vomit in the kitchen sink because I couldn't make it to the bathroom.
Once the vomiting finally came to a halt, I pressed play. The next scene was spooky. Pearl and Ms. Puff were cutting Spongebob open. Then they ate his corpse and pissed in a suction cup. Then the episode ended with the normal end credits.
I was freaked out and disgusted by that disturbing episode. I never watched the show ever again.
