I got bored & decided to look at all the win deltas to see when Jackal’s pick-rate skyrocketed & possibility why. I’ll make a mini thread so y’all can have the graphs.
All Jackal Changes in Chronological Order:
Late OP Health- Stuns changed to Smokes

OP Shifting Tides- EyeNox tracking reworked where the age of the tracks determines how many pings are given, scanned tracks disappear & tracks are no longer visible from below. Improved & updated scanning UI. Breach Charges changed into a Claymore.

His pick-rate greatly increases in Y4 but his most recent change was a scan distance buff in Para Bellum while his rework buff was way back in Blood Orchid. So why? Did the need for anti-roaming increase? Did people see how good his primaries were combined with his strong gadget?
The soft rework in Shifting Tides really was a good nerf as it made the counter-play easier & required more caution & IQ to use his gadget correctly while reducing the amount of info it gives. But his pick-rate is still high in Y5. Jackal may have been strong but never OP.
However his high pick-rate & high ban-rate is still an issue & his two primaries are in need of a nerf. Nerf the C7E damage & nerf the PDW9 hip-fire accuracy so it’s only accurate in CQC & reduce the drum mag to 40 bullets instead of the 50 it has currently. Add recoil to both.
The C7E is a heavy hitting AR with low recoil & the PDW9 is a versatile SMG with a large magazine, very accurate hip-fire with range ontop of the near zero recoil. These two primaries are the major reason he’s picked, people don’t properly use his gadget & dont want to learn it.
If I had to touch his gadget I’d reduce the track lifespan to 60 seconds from 90 seconds. But his primaries are in need of a nerf, it’ll definitely point him more to gadget use over gun use, which is what Siege is all about. This will reduce his pick-rate & in-turn his ban-rate.
Also if the number of operators are going to increase, the shoeprint IDs need a rework sooner or later so not too many ops have the same print. Have a fifth one so when 50 defenders are reached only 10 per track type.

If he ever gets an Elite it better be the Spanish Foriegn Legion uniform with the same young hunk treatment that the CapitĂŁo Elite got.
