In all honesty, it’s about not tearing down our sister speaking or eri/eth men (Subject of the convo). We have a rare opportunity to communicate, esp as the diaspora. Our experiences are rare because as singular cultures, we are growing up in a multicultural country(ies).
Let’s promote community vulnerability, constructive criticism and genuine compassion. We are accountable for the preservation of the culture in an ever expanding world. Moreover, it’s especially sensitive in dealing with relationships.
As we seek romance, let’s not fall into romanticizing people’s pain. Let’s be more empathetic and grow through our connection. This is a long thread, because there is a profoundly youthful and forward-thinking movement that deserves attention.
