If anyone cares... I think that "close match" is my grandmother on my dad's side.

And she only has one son.

Which means, I'm pretty certain I've found my father after 34 years.

Update:

Grandma and I talked on the phone. Her son is definitely my father. She is completely shocked. He doesn't have any children and didn't even think he could have kids. But he remembers my mom like it was yesterday. He's short & I'm 4'11".

He lives one state over.

She said he will probably call me today.

I told her she is a great gramma too and she gasped. Almost cried by the sounds of it.

She lives just 45 minutes away from me.
