#LittleFiresEverywhere 🔥🔥was all about motherhood.

• Biological mothers—sometimes they have children but don’t want them but don’t want an abortion either or will feel shamed by having one.

• Biological mothers who have a child but feels incapable of a raising them so they—
abandon them even sometimes taking an irrational approach like a fire station instead of giving them up for adoption.

• Mothers that can’t conceive children due to medical challenges.

• Teenage mothers who have or sometimes don’t have the child b/c of age and/or future.
• Surrogate mothers who agree to bear children for another person/persons.

my take on LFE, written by @pronounced_ing & now tv show starring @ReeseW & @kerrywashington is that they’re so many layers to motherhood.

parenting can’t be simplified into a one way narrative of...
right or wrong. who’s a “good” mother vs. who’s a “bad” one. one decision shouldn’t define nor stain her a woman for a lifetime & society should never burden her to the point she feels incapable of moving forward.
we as humans are all capable of flaws and who’s to say this flaw is worse than another.
there’s weak spots in all of us. all we can do is our best by trying to put them out because there’s literally— #LittleFiresEverywhere 🔥🔥🔥
