/6 Today's #VoiceFirst isn't remotely conversational. As Braden says, Voice is most useful for repetitive tasks where you know exactly what you want to do. A platform cannot be built on that value prop. For now Voice is just convenient interface, particularly on input side...
/6 Therefore it's premature to speak of Voice "killer apps." But what happens when #VoiceFirst becomes more #AI conversational? Then the possibility to create a killer app emerges. One reason I am bullish on #hearables...
/6 Is that when on-the-go, the context of a #VoiceFirst conversation means a lot. When wearing my #hearables, where am I? What time is it? What am I doing? Lots of opportunity for a Voice app to unlock value by inferring the context of a request or conversation...
/6 And as Braden points out, multimodal #VoiceFirst will unlock additional value. Ultimately a killer app will be adaptive to screen on or off, presenting a different response in each case. Wouldn't be a proper Andy post w/o an example...
/6 In the end multimodal + conversational #AI #VoiceFirst will become the platform by which killer apps are launched. I also predict those apps will first come to mobile / #hearables rather than fixed smart speakers.
