I have a lot of footage of shows from UCB Hell's Kitchen but I never did a "walk through" vid like this bc I assumed there would be years of shows there and it was too soon to get sentimental.

I did some of my favorite shows at UCBHK, even though we were only there a short while
A big stage! In an off-broadway theater. It was less forgiving than the Chelsea stage; u had to really use the space in order to create interesting enough scene pictures. It was a challenge but I welcomed it. Some kinds of scenes were harder to do but more things were possible
We moved The @GLucasTalkShow from the Beast to HK + from midnight to 7:30pm. The show got bigger in scale & we were able to book guests who didn't want to stay up until 1am in the East Village. The show remained fun; the last one was just @GriffLightning & was our most popular.
Pre-Covid19 behavior as I gave high 5s to the entire audience, my tribute to when Larry Sanders was forced to copy this from Leno in the final season of that show

My DROIDS light saber, which I owned from when that show was on Saturday morning; it is the funniest light saber toy
It is entirely possible that Talking Jar-Jar & my Howard The Duck jacket will be retrieved but a lot can go wrong; I am not counting on getting them back. I am told there will be a brief window for ppl to pick stuff up when NYC reopens. For all I know, they are already gone.
This is @patrickcotnoir, who makes everything he works on better.

He has been booking the guests for ASSSSCAT & The George Lucas Talk Show for years.

Follow him on twitter, he is also very good at twitter.

I was never able to get him to do an improv scene.
Going to hold on as tightly as I can to the memories of having fun on stage with @meredithvieira & @DavidKHarbour & @BebeNeuwirth & so many great people who were kind enough to come hang out with me while I pretended to be George Lucas and @GriffLightning pretended to be Watto.
The Stepfathers! This is a post-cagematch bus ride during one of the TWO long runs we had at UCBHK.

We did some of our best work at the HK theater. We failed to win the cagematch championship two years in a row but that is just something those audiences will have to live with.
Our shows got more physical at HK. It felt like a big opportunity, to improvise in a way that felt theatrical. I felt like our goal was to do things that felt like they deserved to be on a stage like that, a few blocks from Broadway.
I know that we did a few of my very favorite Stepfathers shows on the stage at UCBHK.

I'm glad I never once took this for granted. I never forgot that I was lucky to be on this team, not for one single second.

I guess at some point I have to stop posting things but this is as good a clip to end on as any, I suppose.
