why #CancelCulture is toxic af-a thread
cancel culture means withdrawing support for public figures after they have done or said something offensive. now some ppl dont really understand the aftereffects of this but yea im here to clarify the possible outcomes.
so basically what I've seen in the past few days of scrolling tiktok is legit hundreds or maybe thousands of people trending #/nessaiscancelled and honestly i dont think yall understand how bad this could affect her. yea, some arent satisfied with her apology but+
+but you could *advise* her and tell her *nicely* that the apology is not good enough and she shouldn't say that she "thinks shes sorry" like seriously, sending her hate and spamming her comment sections with 🧕 is n o t going to make anything better
heres a list of possible outcomes
she could get so much stress from all the hate(which she probably already has)
she could become severely depressed(not a joke btw)
all the pressure could become overwhelming and the worst case is her k wording herself
only once that happens will everyone say she was such a good soul" " she didnt deserve the hate" but ppl will forget that THEY gave her the hate
the situation is bad enough already. stop trending #/nessaiscancelled. no one needs to be cancelled
heres a few alternatives
1. you can give them advise/reprimand them using civil language and not be an asshole to anyone who has done something that genuinely offends a community
2. you dont need to trend any # abt their mistake bcs it could make things much worse than it is. we dont need any more drama.
no one needs to be cancelled. they need to be given the proper advice and if they dont accept that advice, they're not worth anyone's time and you dont need to say anything. karma will get back at the stubborn and ignorant ones soon enough
btw when someone doesnt heed the advice given to them, you do not need to spam their dms and comments with hate trends. you ca just leave their sorry asses alone and they will soon repent
