thanks for posting this Alasdair Munro @apsmunro. More about Icelandic study: In the population-screening group, NONE of 848 children under 10 tested positive, as compared with 100 of 12,232 persons (0.8%; 95% CI, 0.7 to 1.0) 10 or older. https://www.nejm.org/na101/home/literatum/publisher/mms/journals/content/nejm/0/nejm.ahead-of-print/nejmoa2006100/20200414/images/img_xlarge/nejmoa2006100_f2.jpeg">https://www.nejm.org/na101/hom...
look at panel C Fig 2. Given that #coronavirus #covid19 has very similar features around the world, let& #39;s take this study seriously! If no kids under 10 got the virus in random Icelandic sample, Could this mean that young children under 10 should go back to school everywhere?
Also No infections were detected among 234 children under 10 in Vo, Venetto, IT, even though some household members were infected (Table S3). https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.17.20053157v1.full.pdf">https://www.medrxiv.org/content/1... thx @apsmunro
IF THE EXPERIENCE OF ICELAND AND VO (ITALY), 2 VERY UNRELATED PLACES, APPLIES TO YOUR COMMUNITY, IT MEANS THAT IT IS SAFE TO SEND KIDS UNDER 10 TO SCHOOL OR PRESCHOOL!!!
