(Thread) ..Just watched a captivating yet very depressing interview by @TrevorNcube. Hanzi of the 46 councilors in Harare (in 2009) not one had a qualification in Accounting, Health or Education. How do we elect these people??

These are the people who had to run a US$500million budget, conduct audits and create development plans?? Mayor Masunda added that of the 46 councilors less than 10 were in gainful employment. In other words vaida kutopfumira mukanzuru imomo

Apa iwewe you are expecting efficient resource management, good supply of clean water, capacitation of clinics etc. Zvinobuda sei? And he adds that council is just a snapshot of what is happening at national level. Zimboz we desperately need to revise our system

What's the root of the problem? Does Democracy work for us? Or maybe it's the calibre of people assigned by political parties. Or maybe the qualified & capable ones are not willing? Masunda says we have politics of patronage over merit. But slogan won't do the work for you
