The Kentucky Supreme Court suspended Troutman from practice for two years in 2007 after he was charged with shooting an arrow into a neighbor's home.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief and criminal littering
He was punished again in 2009 for practicing while he was suspended.
According to court records, he was arrested again in 2013, charged w/ fleeing & evading police, wanton endangerment & reckless driving after driving erratically and not pulling over. Plead to disorderly conduct
His bail in current case is $5,000 cash with home incarceration if he gets out. Attorney is Steve Romines. So, this will be interesting.
Defense attorney Steve Romines said that what Troutman wrote was "not a threat. The bottom line is what he said was not helpful and ridiculous. What's more unhelpful and ridiculous is saying it's a crime and arresting him for it."
Romines: "To put him in jail over a Facebook post that doesn't meet the definition of terroristic threatening is absurd."
Romines said Troutman didn't threaten to kill the gov and if similar comments had been made about Trump, Kentucky State Police would not have done anything.
"He didn’t say he was going to kill him," Romines said. "We like to pretend the First Amendment means something, but it only does if it’s something you agree with."
Romines said Troutman is posting bond today and has already pleaded not guilty. He has an April 30 court hearing
