I'm having difficulty understanding the resistance to staged re-opening in places around the country that 1) have not been hit hard by COVID and 2) have demonstrated large excess capacity to care for a surge of COVID patients, should that actually occur
the point of the current strategy was to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed from surge; intention was never to eradicate COVID and we will NOT have a vaccine for a long time. so in places where this hasn't occurred and is unlikely to, what gives???
