This “friends who are checking up on you during quarantine” discussion is interesting. I understand that people are going through a lot, so I will never hold that against them. But for me, I will always send out that, “I’m thinking about you and I love you” text.

Nobody is saying that you need to have a long conversation either but simple gestures matter. I appreciate those friends who hit me up and say, “I hope you and your family are good. Sending you love”. That takes two seconds.

But that’s just me though.

I know everyone’s friendships are different but I couldn’t sleep if I didn’t check up on my friends + family. People are losing so many people they love and value in this pandemic, I couldn’t imagine not hitting up the folks I care about the most to check in. Nope.
