On #EarthDay2020 , we're reflecting on the many roles that research and innovation has to play in securing our planet's future. In fact, they're so hard to sum up in just 280 characters that we've created an Earth Day A-Z. Take a look

A is for #AirQuality. Clean air is so important for human health and the planet. We support efforts to monitor air pollution, understand its impacts and help people and organisations work to improve air quality. Here's a great animation from @aardman and @NERCscience

B is for Biodiversity. From pollinators in the UK to rare habitats in South America, research is vital to monitoring and protecting life on earth.

C is for Clean Energy. We're helping pave the #RoadToNetZero through better batteries, smart energy and much more

D is for Designing the Future. With environmental change already reshaping weather patterns and landscapes, research and innovation has a big role to play in helping society adapt.
