THREAD: This morning, around 2am, my good friend and @sigmachi fraternity brother Jon Coelho passed away after battling COVID-19 and the complications that come with it.

He was ~32 years old, and otherwise healthy.

Jon was a loving father to two great kid and a devoted husband to his awesome wife. My heart breaks for his family.

As we begin the discussion to CDC guidelines, let his death serves as a reminder that *no* age group is immune to this nasty virus.

Jon entered the hospital on March 26th. He had numerous setbacks along the way, including being intubated on ventilator, and recently, he had to undergo 24/7 dialysis.

But with each set back, there was a plan forward, and with that... hope.

Jon was just days away from being off the ventilator and dialysis before he went to cardiac arrest this morning.

27 days without his family in the hospital
22 days on a ventilator
10 days on dialysis

He fought like hell, but the virus was just too much.

After retrieving some of his belongings this morning from the hospital, his wife found this note...

To Jon: our lives are brighter because of yours. Rest easy my friend.
