The @AssemblyWales, its staff and its members have adapted much better to virtual working and new procedures than the @UKParliament. Lots of the decisions related to the Senedd were done and sorted behind the scenes, and the voting system still not agreed in Wesminster.
Also the standard practices are simply better. The obvious placed questions from randoms is so awful in London - and much less so in Wales. And the variance in ‘quality’ between AMs and MPs, and ministers in Wales and in London and opposition at either end of M4 is fascinating.
It is such a curate’s egg, and obviously an objective view. Simon Hart v good on Welsh Qs, when only about 3 of the Qs were any good at all. Raab is really not good at the despatch box. Mark Drakeford in control at FMQs.
Both Health Ministers - Hancock and Gething - have both done very well in hugely testing times, when it is impossible to get everything right. We all know Johnson not a leader in crisis, if at all. Skates and Sunak - a decent score draw.
Opposition leaders have a difficult job, and Starmer was gifted Raab for his first go. Paul Davies maybe too low key but don’t quite think Adam Price's style of opposition is working during the crisis as well as it could.
