so, i've seen ppl use this nsfr thing and i just want to share my opinion
like some of y'all already know nsfr (not safe for ramadhan) is some kind of TW so muslim can avoid subjects like food, water, swearing, nsfw, etc while fasting. it means to help and make fasting easier
fasting for some muslim can be hard bcs time zone, there are some of us have that have to fast for more than 12 hours. and while we fasting, we still do our daily activity like clean the house, studying, working, etc
i know people who started nsfr may have a good intention. they want to make it easier for muslim so we can avoid seeing tweets that can affect our fasting. and it warms my heart to see y'all supporting us 💖💞🌼💜🧡🌻💚💘💙🌹💗
but some muslim don't like this tag bcs fasting mean controlling ourself for a month while keep being productive. and i get it bcs the whole purpose of fasting itself is to develop self-control over our desire. it doesn't mean to be easy
so if i see food pic when i fast, it doesn't break my fast, it's makrooh so it'll just reduce my reward. same goes to when i read a tweet with curse words on it or listening to music - they don't suddenly break my fast. fasting will break or not depend on our intention
for some people they will avoid looking at food pict bcs they don't want to be attempted. but for some like me like to watch vlog about food to pass the time and it's okay bcs it doesn't affect me to break my fast and eat at that exact moment 🤷🏻‍♀️
imo as long as you don't post about nsfw then it's okay. you can post about food, water and swearing without putting nsfr. your muslim moots have been okay fasting this far without nsfr tag bcs guys i think they already know what kind of words/accs to mute for ramadhan ;)
my point is, it's okay if you want to use nsfr bcs for some muslim it sure help them but if you don't then it's fine too. whatever you do, i hope y'all support your muslim moots during this holy month. stay at home, don't forget to wash your hand and be kind to each other 💖
