I wonder why the black people who just learned of the black experience in their 20’s end up being the voice of the culture?
I have a *theory*. Suburban blacks are more acceptable and less scary. Gatekeepers of our culture are white 🤷🏾‍♀️ It’s way easier to work with the person who just realized they were black when they left the culdesac because they identify with them a little more
It just bothers me when I can recognize the unreal and I feel like you’re cosplaying and being an expert in an aesthetic you just learned about
