I wonder why the black people who just learned of the black experience in their 20’s end up being the voice of the culture?

I have a *theory*. Suburban blacks are more acceptable and less scary. Gatekeepers of our culture are white It’s way easier to work with the person who just realized they were black when they left the culdesac because they identify with them a little more
