Moore's new doc seems to take the reality that there are currently unsolved problems with clean energy and spins that up into a "THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW" story.

If Moore was knowledgeable about the topic he'd know that the issues he highlights are not being hidden.

“I assumed solar panels would last forever, and I didn’t know what went into the making of them.” 

I can assure you that no solar module OEM is telling customers their product lasts forever and has no material inputs.

The only reason to think otherwise is total ignorance.

The doc claims to present his disillusion with clean energy after Learning The Truth, but the story it actually tells is one of an uninformed person realizing their presumptions are wildly off base and choosing to blame others rather than themself by crafting a conspiracy theory.
