I'm going to give this a shot! Will be using #LibrariesWFH today to share what I'm up to while working remotely. https://twitter.com/bobbinewman/status/1252922223725367296
First a disclaimer: I'm a librarian at a biotech, & I have a LOT of support to #StayHomeSaveLives.

I'm very lucky my org understands how to #ProtectLibraryWorkers & I encourage you to thank your favorite library for all they're doing by NOT asking them to reopen until it's safe. https://twitter.com/masslibassoc/status/1251871349909401601
First up, as always: email triage!

Yesterday someone reached out to me for access to a tool that's not managed by our library; the first email I see this morning confirms we pointed him in the right direction and he's good to go. #LibrariesWFH
I normally use an outlook to-do list, but things (somehow!) move even more quickly than usual at home.

For now I've switched to a paper to-do list, because it helps force me to give myself credit for triaging the incoming stuff, too. #LibrariesWFH

I vagued this one up to share
In between meetings, I'm squeezing in ebook purchases (a big uptick in this, of course).

Some go through our ebook platform - easy win, if they aren't more expensive than our budget can support.

Some are email requests - sadly, not all are available to my library. #LibrariesWFH
My boss covers the crisis that just arose (a key resource is down) which means I can still go to my 10:30 meeting!

Met with colleagues about strategy for our org's upcoming digital trainings. I'm excited to run 2 sessions next week introducing library resources. #LibrariesWFH
Surprise!meeting with my grandboss is made more ominous by my toaster oven ticking away a countdown directly behind me (reheating pizza) - but he prefaces with "it's good news"

Will I run the library-side of the digital training strategy moving forward? Absolutely! #LibrariesWFH
My laundry hopes were thwarted (communal laundry in a pandemic: adventure!) so it's onto print book requests.

My library isn't distributing print books, but we're still accepting requests and placing orders we can make available as soon as we're back in the office. #LibrariesWFH
LOTS of colleagues ask if we can ship books to their homes while we're working remotely. (That's a sign of how much faith they have in our customer service, right?)

That's not something we're doing, but we respond and remind them about our ebook and docdel options. #LibrariesWFH
