Short thread on players who have been underrated due to the “United effect”. I’ll be giving a short summary on the general consensus of them before United vs after United.
First of, United’s current captain; Harry Maguire.

Pre-United: top 3-5 center backs itl, top 15 in the world.

Post United: barley top 20 itl, apparently worse than players such as Vestergaard, Soyuncu and Evans.

United have had a complete defensive transformation this season.
AWB

Pre-United: Top 3 RB in the league, England’s best 1v1 defender. Good dribbler.

Post United: Not even top 5 itl, apparently worse than Max Aarons. Can’t attack at all.

United have had a complete defensive transformation this season.
Romelu Lukaku

Pre-United: Top 3 strikers in the league, top 10 in the world, borderline world class.

Post United: Not even top 10 itl. Widely mocked, and considered to be a bad striker.

Post-post United (Inter): Fantastic striker that United should have never sold.
Lukaku scored goals for United like he always does, but he didn’t fit the system, and had a questionable attitude.
Bruno Fernandes.

Pre-United: Very good player, best in his league. Amazing creator and goal scorer.

Post United: Overrated penalty merchant, who “stat-padded” in a weak league.

Ignoring United’s massive improvement since he’s arrived.
And finally, the absolute worst one: Paul Labile Pogba.

Pre-United: Best young midfielder in the world, one of the worlds best.

Post United: Overrated, wasted talent, nothing special.
What is the point of this thread? It’s to hopefully United fans not to blindly listen to the media, and rival fans. Most of them hate us, and have a bias against us. Don’t turn on your clubs players, based on falsehoods created by the media, or rival fans.
I do not mean that all rival fans/media have said these things, but many have.
First off*. Always see the mistakes after posting haha.
