I'm trying to distract myself at the moment, so here's a thread of 6th generation video game characters I think are either iconic enough to be Smash, would be great fits, or both.

These are characters who made their first appearances during the 6th generation of gaming.

To start this thread off.

Dante from Devil May Cry.
The character-action franchise that made it's start in 2001 with the undeniable classic "Devil May Cry" and went on to make even more beloved sequels like DMC3 and the recent DMC5.

Next up.

Sora from Kingdom Hearts.
Since 2002, the Kingdom Hearts series has been a popular series from Square Enix (and Disney) with Sora himself being a highly-requested character for Smash.

Claude, Tommy Vercetti, and Carl "CJ" Johnson from Grand Theft Auto are next on the list.

While GTA itself made it's start during the 5th generation of gaming on the PS1, it's (arguably) most iconic entries were all during the 6th generation of gaming.
