In our very 1st extra curricular episode, we’re Ru-vealing Ru-ligion in our collective favorite show, RuPaul’s Drag Race. Because it’s fun, & all T all shade, it underlines the point of @KeepingIt_101: knowing how to talk about religion--how to see it--is important.
But this isn't all show references & fangirl goopery. It's also to say: US pop culture likes to do this Queers on one side, religion on the other dichotomy that isn't true of the history of American queers OR religions; the show gives us complexity, whether it means to or not.
Episode is organized like a ball, hennies.
