As the game seems to slip further and further from the game I knew and have loved for the past 33 years, MLS becomes a more important part of my life.

I now have officially given up on the Premier League. There is no SaveThePrem, our enemy are the fans apathy to morality.

You have no idea how much being a Crew fan means to me right now.

I never in a million years thought I would ever stop watching the league of my own country.

Yes MLS is flawed but it's not even remotely close to as broken as "the best league in the world" tm.

I won't go into it further here. I feel an article coming on it but I can't bring myself to write it just yet.

The purpose of this post is merely to thank every players, coach, member of staff and fan of the Columbus Crew.

Why? You show the world what football truly is

Football isn't marketing, it isn't expensive players. Cruyff himself famously said "I've never seen a bag of money score a goal".

Football has beauty in its essence. It's a game that EVERYONE can play. A game that at its best brings communities together.

And while I may be 1000's of miles away, Columbus Crew and the community of Columbus matters to me and dare I say I even feel a part of it to some degree.

I was looking for the hope I had lost, a truth and justice that had deserted English football and I found you.

So, as I will never tire of saying, thank you Columbus.

You are now and forever a part of me. Your morals, your dedication and your passion for your team and most importantly the game as a whole is an inspiration to me.
