How #COVID really impacts #NFLDraft2020 and post-draft (thread):
Teams have a "front board" (125-175 players deep) of whom they have draftable grade on. They'll draft from this group. They have a "back board" of PFA-graded players ranked by desirability to sign (high, mid, low)

Not all front board players end up being picked, and teams huddle late in the draft and redo the back board. Front board players not selected become top back board players, and former top back board players become 2nd and 3rd call instead of 1st call.
Players ranked in the middle of former back board are pushed and so do lower guys. These in a normal year become your tryout-only, rookie minicamp guys with former front board and former high back board guys getting post-draft contracts. This year ... no rookie minicamp/tryouts
With no minicamp, hundreds of longer shot guys are gonna be in a TOUGHER SPOT, with no certain NFL shot.
Teams can have up to 90 players under contract, here's latest.
With no rookie minicamp, harder to install scheme & see players, much tougher for PFAs to learn and impress

Teams normally would cut portion of current 90-man around Draft to make way for Draft picks & signed PFAs.
But given how hard its gonna be for PFAs, teams are/may rely on frmr XFL & vet "camp bodies" instead of rookie "camp bodies", having already been through a camp.
