I don't know if anyone else can relate to this, but I'm finding
that not going anywhere much means I've freed up the brainpower and energy I would've burnt up on getting myself places. And I really appreciate it, and I don't look forward to a time when I need to do it again.

I have no learning difficulties, no disabilities, no kids to wrangle, and yet I never realised how much cognitive resource I was burning up on remembering I had to be in a certain place, getting ready, getting there. Wildly disproportionate to the actual thing I was going for.
I had a weekly Welsh class. The bit where we learned Welsh was easy. The bit where I had to get there on time, with the right folder and a pen, was EXHAUSTING. I had three different calendars, scribbled paper notes and a phone alarm to stop me forgetting it completely every week.
I'd love to wrap up this thread by saying that I'm using the Welsh centre's online resources and the brainpower freed up by not having to remember my travel mug is being spent on new grammar and vocab. Actually? I kind of forgot all about learning Welsh and I've done nothing.
