I did an experiment considering fancams ; a small thread.
So i went to a viral local tweet. And we all know that there’s fancams everywhere right? In my opinion fancams are totally oke, if ure replying to the tweet. If u just drop it and go that’s really annoying.
Here u have a western artists fan, replying with her fancam of a western artist, and also replying to the topic. The person didn’t get hate, she actually got love for her fancam.
Another one, who didn’t get hate as well.
Here we have a bts fan, replying to the tweet while adding a fancam. They got hate. Even tho theyr replied to the tweet they got hate.
Another bts tan that replied with a video that has nothing to do with kpop. They didn’t get hate. Or this overused meme. Let’s say they replied with a kpop fancam? They would’ve gotten hate right?
Now we have an innocent kpopfan who didn’t even reply with a fancam and they still got hate for stating an opinion
In conclusion ; locals have a personal problem with kpop fans. They think we’re all whiny immature 12 y/o s. They are racist/xenophobic. If someone just dropped their fc without context u have every right to hate on them, but that’s not the case in here.
