Alleged post midnight attack notwithstanding, Lawyers of Arnab will need to do some work in next couple of days to tackle the remaining Sections like 153A, 295A, 505(2) etc that are being applied... Also to have the cases being filed across the country consolidated at one place.
Adversaries of Arnab would be more interested to push Sections like 153A, 295A & 505(2) IPC as of now... Defamation action, both Civil and Criminal, is a long process and wouldn't be an immediate bother for Arnab.
If someday Sonia Gandhi initiates Defamation, the bit about "sending report to Italy and saying that she has installed a government and has got.... " would be troublesome for Arnab. Eventually he would have to either retract & apologize or face civil / criminal consequences.

You can't have Cops in multiple States issuing Notices U/S 41A CrPC for a single act. Multiple FIRs will have to be consolidated at one place.

Too many issues mixed up by Arnab. Whether Congress is opposed to Free Speech or whether his channel fosters communal harmony are irrelevant. Also the alleged attack.

Supreme Court is not the Court you go to when you apprehend arrest... You need to file for Anticipatory Bail before Sessions Court or HC... SC wouldn't give you Anticipatory Bail straightaway.
In this case approaching SC was necessary in view of Multiple FIRs for a single act.

No part of the job of the Supreme Court to be doing either... Incidentally there exists other Courts in the country to do these, if at all.
Today SC should merely Consolidate the Multiple FIRs filed across the country against Arnab for a single act & grant Protection from Arrest to him till then.. Everything else is irrelevant at this stage.. Whether he was not wrong or needs to be arrested or not can be seen later.
And that's the first indication from Chandrachud J for clubbing of Multiple FIRs.
