We receive 1000s of samples in a day.
During the sample processing, samples are pooled in tens. So a pool contain 10 samples. So 1000 samples become 100 samples and so on. This pooling system is done to maximize testing capacity. The PCR machine can take 93 samples max and 45 min
So this means 930 or 450 samples per machine. Assuming 4 machines are running concurrently and I take the min of 450 samples....that& #39;s1800....per shift not a day...therefore a day will be 3600. Do the max calculation yourself!
So tell me why we can& #39;t test over 60,000 samples.
