Might be an unpopular opinion here, but the development Joni Mitchell describes in "Big Yellow Taxi" sounds better than the "paradise" it replaces. It has a pink hotel, a boutique, a swinging hot spot and a tree museum as well as the parking lot that she focuses her criticism on.

I& #39;d like to know what the footfall for the new development is versus the "paradise" that was there before it. I& #39;m sure it was nice, but if no one is actually going to see it, who cares?

Here& #39;s what happened. I was listening to BYT yesterday and heard the lyrics about the boutique and swinging hot spot, and realised I& #39;d spent decades assuming they& #39;d just built a car park in, I guess, the middle of nowhere. My tweet was about that, not a defence of the car park.
