(THREAD) Trump coronavirus tweets.

Praising China, the CDC, and the WHO. Stock market looking good with Dow at ~28k.

Saying that he is working hard to keep numbers low (lack of testing keeps confirmed cases low).

Blaming others for the stock market.
1/ Pushing hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, which Trump wanted put in use immediately on March 21st.

Attacking MSNBC and CNN for making the “Caronavirus” look bad, in a quote from Trish Regan, who Fox later fired.
2/ Downplaying the “CoronaVirus” by referencing the Surgeon General and numbers for the flu.

“Much respect!” for China on March 26th.

Focusing on “Ratings” on a day when 2800 died of COVID-19 in the US.
3/ Retweet from Trump about work on coronavirus vaccine on January 28, 2020.

Claiming that the only reason Chuck Schumer said $2.5B to prepare for “Coronavirus” was not enough was for publicity purposes.
4/ These are tweets from before Trump became president, about responsibility.
5/ This tweet from 2013 is interesting given that Trump is currently fighting at the Supreme Court to take away a lot of people’s healthcare (cancel Obamacare) and has done little about North Korea’s nukes, which we know they have. And if Iran has nukes, Trump let them keep them.
6/ Trump tends to project. He is now in a position with his approval rating dropping (even with a rally around the flag effect), and his re-election bid under way, like he claimed with Obama running for re-election in 2012. Trump thought about what a desperate president could do:
7/ As far as that tweet from Trump claiming that Obama’s poll numbers were in a tailspin, that was a lie. Obama was at 52% with Gallup for an Oct. 1-7 poll in 2012 and even right wing Rasmussen had Obama at 49%. Trump is at 43% with Gallup and 44% with Rasmussen right now.
8/ This tweet is interesting given how little North Korea has given up to Trump and how much Trump raised Kim Jong-un’s status on the world stage:
9/ When the US was fighting the Ebola crisis Trump loved to throw bombs from the sidelines. I see that he called for stopping flights and said airport testing was a joke. He sang a different tune for COVID-19, including not actually stopping all the flights (40k people came in).
10/ For Ebola Trump criticized governors for backing off quarantines.

Trump seems a lot like a NFL fan who is good at trolling the QB and claiming he could do a better job, but then he gets the job, and can’t handle the tough stuff. Too bad Rs won’t bench him.
11/ As far as Trump having a dumb streak, and being a dangerous person, we had warning long ago. He and two of his kids couldn’t figure out 17 times 6, and he is so dumb that when Obama beat Romney by almost 5 million votes, Trump thought Romney won the popular vote. Time zones?
12/ Trump deleted some of his tweets from the 2012 election, but not all. Business Insider documented some, and I have highlighted them below.
13/ For anybody wondering if Trump will try to get Americans killed if he loses the election, he tried to start a revolution when Obama won easily.

Trump is way more dangerous to America than Bin Laden ever was. Trump has more capability to start the revolution he wanted in '12.
14/ In 2012, as Trump was trying to get citizens to march on Washington and start a revolution, because Obama had beaten Romney, Trump complained about America being divided. Anybody watching Trump’s COVID-19 response should see that Trump has tried to divide these United States.
