In majority if not all the countries affected by the Covid19 pandemic, the government is at the forefront of the battle. Governments are supporting businesses and helping them survive the economic turmoil caused by the Lockdown during this pandemic.

In Nigeria, the government that has raised like N50bn is in a coma. It is the private sector that is building isolation centres and organising palliatives for the citizens. Why then are we paying all these politicians salaries?

Why are we funding their expensive lifestyles? If at a time like this the best our government can do is to make announcements and organise press conferences, can we not agree that they are not fit for purpose?
