A lady last night at the Sandiacre fire asked me what i get out of working for @DerbysPolice for free. I don't do it for me, I do it for:

1. My amazing #community
2. I'm in a position to help so in my head, I have an obligation to help. This is how I choose to give back

4. To be part of a #family like no other, lead by fantastically #passionate people like @DCCRachelSwann & @DerbysPoliceCC & run by the #amazingly dedicated #Officers that have become extended family.

5 (probably most importantly). To be able to watch #trafficcops and say "Hey, I know that cop!"

The only thing I take away from every shift, no matter how bad it was, is a sense of pride from knowing that me & my @DerbysSpecials family have made a real #difference
