review (a thread):

this story has a lot of twisted events and unexpected plotting. it may seem like a normal story but if you look at it deeper, you see how well the story flows along time by time. not gonna compare but this is far the most realistic AU i’ve ever read— https://twitter.com/shooktsense/status/1239577783761682432
what and how do i mean by realistic?

basically the characters and events are very real and true to life. the following events can be predicted, but that’s the charming point of the story– you focus on what will happen on a current event, not knowing the author’s next move.
charactersš:

take a thought of “this is just an ordinary drama AU with normal characters.” no, because the lead character, Byul, has an interesting personality in which (i think) she has more negative traits than the opposite and that’s what makes it thrilling.
characters²:

the lead character’s movements are somehow unpredictable, that’s why we feel something like “no, don’t do that.” or “ew stupid.” and same goes for the other main character which is Yongsun. both of their characters either improve or change in a certain situation.
charactersÂł:

supporting roles do have a lot of impact as well. why? they also have attributes that can turn the tables. example: Hani who became against Byul’s actions because she doesn’t tolerate her doings since she knows that it’s ridiculous but has nothing to stop Byul.
flowš:

let’s say time flies when you read an AU, right? but do you ever consider the fact that every consequence the characters make can build up the pressure wherein the reader may get amused, bewildered, frustrated, or dumbfounded as troubling scenarios go on.
flow²:

the turning of events were very smooth. the deeper you get addicted and mesmerized by the story, more likely the reader relates. the reader will get very attached to the story and it makes sense because there were no holes. it keeps getting better that it’s frustrating.
situationsš:

real life problems like mental disorders are rough to handle, like seeing the lead character who suffers from one or two. again, the story is very realistic that it stands out since the characters do not concentrate on being “imaginary” but being “practical”.
situations²:

the author makes our imagination work for more than usual. the author added explicit contents (violence, sadism) and events that may trigger such as mental disorders and sudden breakdowns. it makes it more of a drama– in which is called slice of life.
overall:

very recommended if you want to read an AU that gets far realistic and dramatic. beside of it being true-to-life, it certainly has a touch of comedy too. events and characters can “touch” your heart that it makes you cry or laugh. this has gotta be the best AU that...
...i’ve read so far. i will cherish the story and will never forget about it.

my rating will be 10/10. i love everything about the story and it seemed that the author did her very best to make this AU happen. kudos to the author who made this. ily already haha
