I have spent over 5 years in ME 2 of which in KSA.
I did not go as an employee but with a some authority. Most in KSA are very conservative because there cannot be a liberal view without repercussions.
However, there is also a decent amount of respect for Indians
And, the more sophisticated jobs are held by H. The Tech Experts, Finance (especially). In one multi billion company one Madhwa owned an excel relating to operations that no one could touch in the org. He was priceless.
The lower and middle level (Purchase Assistant especially) are with Ms and Ks (K is a state)
The Ms on reaching think that the KSA Ms are natural allies and volunteer to remind of the prayer times (which some were trying to overlook) and are viewed as pests. Looked down upon
I have discussed religion with Arabs/Emiratis ; they are conservative. They want the law of the land to be held supreme. They are not aware of a system where law is common or are happy to be in Islamic state.
That does not prevent them from appreciating Indian law.
What our weak fighters from own side has done is, they have challenged an egoist society their right to impose a local law.
Irony is, they could not do it in their own country because here it will get real. Over there, it is vicarious, no responsibility
Our RW naive people are mindless (inability to size of a situation) because they pick every gauntlet that is thrown at them. They don't pause and think if the battle is worth fighting. Just blindly fight. And leave one halfway and pick another gauntlet. Then another.
While Modi ji has to deal with the people his followers (so called) pick fight with over nothing.
Ask them to antagonize their bosses in the work over a trivial but real grouse. You will find their tail deep inside their rear entrance.
The family values, very similar. They are emotional (even more) than us. Respect old people, women, fear for mother (yes it is) marrying a family and not an individual...there are many many like these values
We are really cursed. Don't know why. Are we paying the price of our past #Karma ? Can't help thinking so. Why for over 700 years we could not completely throw of our yokes? When one tried to, another opted for. History of Bharat in short.
