Bear with me a moment- I want to talk about Sherry Pie
I gotta wonder, before the final edit, what kind of storyline she had. Did she have friends in the competition? Did she make any lifelong relationships? If she had some kind of sob story or narrative- how much of it would have been true?
I wonder what the rest of the cast thought of her, how they reacted when they heard the news. Five of the queens work or had worked in New York where Sherry's actions were something of a rumor. Did any of them know? How do they feel now?
Seeing Sherry Pie on the runway and in the challenges reminds me of an anecdote re: Anthony Hopkins in the movie The Bunker. He played Hitler in his last days. The producers didn't like his take because he didn't play him like an obvious monster, he played him as a person.
Hopkins replied: "Because he was."
Terrible, awful, people are still people.
Terrible, awful people can be talented.
Terrible, awful people can be funny.
Terrible, awful people can have the same likes, dislikes, and interests as you do.

I think about that when I see her reference Into the Woods or Matilda on the show. It sucks. I wish she had been a good person. I wish she hadn't gaslighted so many innocent men, jeopardized their careers and ruined their professional and personal relationships.
I hope she immediately got help. I hope she checked into a goddamn mental hospital. I hope she works out of the limelight to make amends and be a better person, and I hope she never becomes famous again.
I guess this was a reflection. I don't know what else to say.
