Aamir is heart-ist. Taare Zameen Par is ❤️.
The title-credits of Taare Zameen Par used the Claymation Technology (Clay-Animation), First of its kind on Indian Cinema.
Aamir Khan uses wide-lenses to depict the environment in which Ishaan resides. Every shot is picturesque, and with deep-felt detailing. :)
I suspect that the PoV shots are often overlooked. Just look at this tiny observation. Ishaan laughs at his mother while she is shown for the first time in the film, whereas Aamir uses a symbolic POV shot on his father to suggest how startled is his relation with the father.
The whole house gets rushed doing multi-tasking at a time (Father and elder-son) and doing the same task again and again (The mother). These shots (in the song"Jame Raho" move posthaste to reveal how fast their world is whirling. (1/2)
The shots move more leisurely when the scenario of Ishaan is shown. Then the mother comes and wakes up him, his world begins to progress rapidly like others in his family. Just to suggest how different is his world from the others. (2/2)
"Freedom is Happiness."
Free from stress, competition, and compulsions.
Lovely shots that are both eye-pleasing and insightful.
Ishaan recreates the "ice gola" as a painting. Soon, the frame dissolves into the close-up on his notebook, where he is scribbling something vague and incomprehensible. I would say a lot of thoughts must've gone into the film, while writing, shooting, and editing.
The song "Maa." - Intercuts and shot-making. :))
Aamir has taken the best from the kids. Look the kids, they are sincerely involved even while staying the background, without any inhibitions, getting used to the camera and all. That's called the director's touch.
I always give specific instructions to the kids. As a director, I must give specific instructions to each one of them, including the background artists, even when the focus is not on them. - Aamir (Director's commentary).
Shots could affect you. Yes!
This song "Ho na Jayee, Taare Zameen Par" is loveable.
