1) The @CovidCoalition continues to maintain and update daily essential legal resources on Lockdown in SA: https://c19peoplescoalition.org.za/legal/

I will highlight some resources on a thread here but there are MANY more. Should you need actual legal assistance or advice use contacts below.
2) The resources include a "Know Your Rights" folder with easy to understand, short resources: https://c19peoplescoalition.org.za/know-your-rights/.
@Corruption_SA resources on police corruption/accountability.
@LHR_SA resources on essential services, policing, vulnerable children, refugees &asylum seekers.
3) Resources include a full set of regulations/directions from Gov: https://c19peoplescoalition.org.za/executive-regulations-and-directions/. Also look out for Lexinfo summaries of updates daily. In addition @CovidCoalition through @tesspeacock & her team have daily updated summary from a human rights perspective.
4) Resources also include a fairly extensive set of judicial directives (including mag courts): https://c19peoplescoalition.org.za/judicial-directions/. Most recently included are @OCJ_RSA directives from Chief Justice and a letter from the SCA. @WhyJudgesMatter @DGRU_ @alisontilley
5) A place where we can use your help is providing us with court papers and judgments. What we have are available here: https://c19peoplescoalition.org.za/judgments-and-court-papers/. Includes the Court papers for Khosa v Minister of National Defense. @TembekaNgcukai1
6) I will also spend some time today adding international human rights law resources here: https://c19peoplescoalition.org.za/international-law-sources/. Currently includes guidance on policing and use of force from the United Nations.
7) Finally for now the @CovidCoalition's submissions on amendments to directions are available here: https://c19peoplescoalition.org.za/coalition-submissions/. Expect more this week. Some were already successful contributing to amendments that allow @SAHRCommission to improve human rights monitoring in lockdown.
Feel free to DM me or email me on [email protected] for any materials you would like to submit and have uploaded or any other inputs you have on how to improve this resource. Thanks to @scantzor for helping me manage and upload daily.
