I love it when a plan comes together. It& #39;s taken a couple of months but my & #39;office& #39; #aquarium ( @Fluvalaquatics Spec V) is getting close to what I had in mind when setting it up. Initial algae bloom has settled down, & plants are getting established.
The plants on the right are going great, the plants on the left less so. I expected that though, these things took a long time to get going in our other tank, but then shot up.
I have ended up with a massive population of #ostracods ( #seedshrimp) though. Harmless, beneficial even, but they don& #39;t look great. I think it& #39;s time to introduce some fish, which should control their numbers a bit.
Can& #39;t leave this thread ending with an unsightly swarm of ostracods so here& #39;s another gratuitous #cherryshrimp photo.
