Well looks like drama is happening on my tl (and of-fucking-course it revolves around certain smug anitweeter). Gonna call it a night here. Give me a damage report when I wake up.

Welp, I lied about going to sleep and now I know things I wish I didn't. The silver lining: it does put things into perspective. The black cloud: That's one less person I trust and I can see why one of my internet friends who I won't name disassociated with him.

I'll at least say that it was good of him to come out with the truth because he could have easily lied to save face and most likely none would be the wiser. With that said, it kinda confirmed my growing suspicions with him and his association with Smug.

It wouldn't be so bad but he made numerous posts in the past claiming to disassociate with her only to crawl right back to her as if nothing happened. He's pretty much reached boy who cried wolf status and I'll be doubtful of anything more he has to say regarding Smug.

One of the biggest and most common mistakes people make with bad relationships is sticking with them under the idea that they can change their partner for the better or that they'll naturally change themselves. Anyone can tell you that's nothing more than wishful thinking.

Nobody is going to change themselves if they don't have any incentive or motivation to. Smug has shown no signs of improving herself and part of that his her addiction to clout. Being in the 10k range of followers eliminates any incentive that she could have to be better.

Going back to the original person in question. Do I think he's a bad person? No. I do however think he's an absolute fool regarding Smug and he's let his inexplicable relation with her that he crafted in his mind cloud his judgement.

Anyway, people will probably catch on who I'm talking about in any case and there's a chance he might catch wind of this thread. I'll let him come to me if he's interested in talking his side since I no longer trust him enough to reach out to him myself.
