Remember the time the docs from Pincher Creek led an early movement around primary care practice redesign and then one of them spent years helping other practices across the province (1/x)
And then there was that time that they became national medical home leaders, paved the way for what a PCN could be and taught us all along with @Chinook_PCN about data sharing and improvement before it was a thing
Oh and then there was that time, wait no all those times, they helped lead and support @ABFamDocs
Oh shoot - I forgot that time some of the docs from Pincher helped write the PCN evolution framework and helped Alberta Health - yes Alberta Health pen the Primary Healthcare Strategy for the province
Then there was this silly thing called Blended Capitation - wait is that an ARP? Gasp - one of the Pincher docs helped Alberta Health with the design and then they were not allowed to join it 😞
Oh yeah - then the underwent voluntary accreditation, submitted an innovate proposal on whole system redesign with @HQCA only to have it rejected
In there they found the time to help lead RPAP, became leaders in integrated community clerkship teaching and become an award winning resident teaching site for U of C
Sure they were voluntary @Albertadoctors board members, community leaders, innovators in health service delivery, always willing to help others - that silly altruism thing - what does it get you anyway
For decades of excellence what do they get - a slap in the face, portrayal along with all family docs as greedy and overpaid, thrown under the bus by @YourAlberta @shandro @jkenney and left on their own to fend for themselves. I for one will not forget @pluggedinMD @SamanthaMyhr
