The genius persuasion of merely giving an artist money and asking NOTHING in return is so bone simple that The Right will never think to try it, as it requires no strategizing, no planning, etcetera. And it would win them the fucking 'culture war' overnight. Support. The. Arts.
No, this is not welfare

No, this is not UBI

The Left has tricked you morons into thinking that supporting the arts is somehow a bad thing, simply because The Left does it

Honestly they are probably flabbergasted they've gotten away with tricking you for this long
'But what if they turn around and go make some art that (gasp) hurts my cause/feelings???'

GOOD! You better hope so! Who would look bad in that scenario? The artist who bites the hand that feeds them, dummy. Who looks cool? The person who can take a goddamn roasting
And on top of that, who looks RICH AF? The person who can afford to support even people who actively make art that fucks with them. That's like the ultimate flex. 'I subsidize my detractors'. HUGE power in that
When Book of Mormon came out, what did mormons do? Did they protest, did they complain? No—they took a fucking ad for mormonism out in every single Playbill. Net result: "huh, mormons can take a joke—that's pretty cool'. PRICELESS.
'i dont like their politics, but they're a good sport and they support the arts'

turns into

'huh, i actually agree with some of their politics'

This is not rocket science, this is not advanced math, this is the natural progression of things. Support the arts, conservatives
I am sick of hearing conservatives be baffled as to why political positions of The Left that should technically be unpopular are actually quite popular, especially among young people

'Must be a failure of the schoolz! Teach history better! Kids are so uninformed!'
Kids are perceptive af. What they lack in deep knowledge of history, they have in comprehending the present in spades. Plus, if somebody needs to know all sorts of deep lore in order to understand you and agree with you, your position is flimsy and boring
Kids feel The Left has their back, or at least even WANTS to. The Right are the dad that split and they never even knew, The Left is the mom that kinda sucks and thinks some dumb shit, but stuck around at least and seems to love them, and will defend them hard
if The Right wants to get back in their lives and not be seen as a deadbeat piece of shit, start by just sending money. No note, no explanation—let persuasion fill in the blanks. Send the money regularly. Ask nothing in return. Treat the arts this way.
Eventually, their built up anger will subside, they will be ready for a toes-in-the-water sort of hangout or whatever, maybe a sandwich at a diner, or a hot dog at a public park. During that, they will see you as human, as not as bad as they imagined. Culture war won
Their mom, The Left, will start being a bitch, jealous of the ground being gained by you, the dad, The Right. "How can you take money from him!?? How can you hang with him?!?!" etc. Meanwhile you remain the calm one. Huge ground gained there. Daddy is now kinda cool
Deeper talks with Dad now, longer hang outs. Asking why he believes things he believes, what the basis is, what his history really is with Mom. A lot learned here. Life isn't as black and white as it once seemed. Kid is now more independent politically, and feels GOOD about it
All this started, mind you, with money given with nothing asked in return. All this ground gained from a simple act of generosity with nothing attached to it. PURE generosity. Christians understand this shit, or at least they're supposed to. The Right not doing it is nuts.
'But the schoolz!'

It all starts at home. You failed them at home. Make it right.
