The shows solution to “fix” the politics of Westeros by having lord elect a new king rather than hereditary succession fixes nothing

We’re still gonna have treachery, lords are gonna fight over who they want to be king and or raise themselves to kings, the smallfolk STILL have no say in who rules them meaning westeros goes nowhere in advancement

Which at that point, a ruling dynasty is better.

If I had to offer a solution to ensure avoiding tyrants, I’d think the council or Kingsguard should have the power to remove a king/Queen if they’re not doing their job right. But even then, you’d still be met with unfairness and treachery. There really isn’t a solution

And that’s why this is a fantasy series :) not a political drama
