yoongi huffed as he carried his heavy luggage out of the worn downed bus. the bus driver glared at the teenage boy. yoongi quickly murmured a soft apology and tried to pick up his pace. he hopped off the bus and dragged the luggage off with a thud. before he could thank the +
driver, the bus doors were shut closed and the vehicle was back on it’s way to the city. the wheels skid across the road and sent a giant puff of dirt right in yoongi’s face. the teenager waved his arms around to clear the area of the suffocating dust. he let out a series of +
coughs until they died then. he pulled out his phone to pull up the maps app, but his internet reception was close to nothing. he tried pointing his phone in different directions but he had no success in getting a signal. yoongi internally groaned. it was quite obvious that +
yoongi had no clue whatsoever on how to get by in the countryside. it’s been about thirteen years since he last visited his hometown. he moved to seoul a year after he was born and only visited a couple of times. the whole, no internet, outskirts, kind of thing wasn’t exactly +
his cup of tea. he may have been born here, but it definitely wasn’t something he was accustomed to. maybe his five years old self would’ve loved it but he wasn’t a kid anymore.

yoongi hastily tapped on his photos app and thanked himself for taking a screenshot of the map. +
yoongi let go of his luggage’s handle to zoom in on the picture. he squinted at the directions for a couple of seconds. he glanced up at the continuous dirt road in front of him then back at his phone. he repeated this for a couple of times until a completely gave up. +
the map was useless if he didn’t even know if he was facing the right direction. yoongi grabbed his carry on again. he lugged it with him as he headed straight because that seemed like the only logical direction. unless he wanted to cut through the grass field or walk back to +
seoul. both options sounded to ridiculous so straight ahead it was. it took about 10 minutes of walking aimlessly before yoongi began to see any form of civilization. it was any ordinary typically korean styled countryside houses. it was the type of town where everyone knew +
everyone. it was a close knit society with people looking out for one another. if an elderly saw you, they’d most definitely treated you like one of their own grandchildren. yoongi thought that was perhaps one thing he liked about returning. as much as he liked seoul +
it wasn’t as exactly a place where everyone was your friend. heck, yoongi doesn’t even know the names of any of his neighbors. yoongi just hopes that the closeness he remembered from childhood was still there. he didn’t exactly want to be treated like an outsider +
during his time here.

yoongi waddled into town with one hand gripped on his luggage and the other on his phone. his eyes kept flickering between his phone screen and the paths in front of him. there were too many paths and his map was doing a terrible job at guiding him. +
the blue highlighted road he was suppose to take abruptly stopped and now he was clueless on where to go. yoongi pouted as he glared at his phone. “so called age of technology. you were no help,” he shouted as if the device had feelings of its own. +
“are you lost?” yoongi whipped his head up at the source of the voice. the teen blinked a couple of times at the tall male in front of him. he shyly nodded as his cheeks slowly began to flush pink. the man placed the box of assorted fruits and vegetables down on the floor. +
the man held out his hand, but yoongi was unsure what the other wanted.

/does he want to hold my hand?/

the man chuckled and pointed at yoongi’s phone. if the stranger didn’t see yoongi’s cherry cheeks before, he definitely did now. yoongi quickly handed his phone to the +
other. as the taller male was staring at the map, yoongi took the opportunity to really look at the man. yoongi took a quick glance up and down of the male. it was very evident that the other had a bigger build than yoongi. it wasn’t a surprise that he was able to carry +
the box of food on his shoulder with that body. yoongi stole one more glance at the man’a face. yoongi acknowledged that he definitely had an attractive face. it was well defined and he a golden tan to his complexion. his deep black hair looked slightly over grown. +
/definitely my type./

the black headed boy handed yoongi back his phone. he picked up the box of goods again. “the house you’re heading to has a tricky path, which is probably why your map stopped midway. you’ll most likely get lost, so i’ll take you there myself.” +
“oh, you don’t have to. you seem busy.” yoongi pointed at the box.

the other male smiled. “it’s fine. i’m delivering this box to that house anyways.”

just when yoongi thought his blush couldn’t get worse, it did. he cursed himself for being so easily affected. +
yoongi nodded. “thank you.”

“it’s no problem.” the boy moved to walk beside yoongi, but still taking the lead by a little bit. “my name is jeon jungkook by the way.”

“min yoongi.” +
“yoongi, huh?” jungkook smiled at how easily the name rolled off his tongue. “is this your first time visiting? i don’t think i’ve seen you around before.”

yoongi scratched his head. “not exactly. i was born here but i moves to seoul with my parents shortly after. +
i’ve visited a couple of times to see my grandparents, but that was more than ten years ago. so it’s been a long time.”

“your grandparents must be the mins. are you staying with them for the summer?” +
yoongi huffed, “yeah i am. my parents think it’ll help be grow as a person, but i think it’s just an excuse to get rid of me.” the teenager sighed as he focused on kicking the pebble in front of him.

jungkook stared at yoongi the entire time despite the younger male not +
sparing him a single glance. “sounds like you don’t want to be here.”

yoongi stopped to glance at jungkook for the first time since they’ve been walking. “honestly speaking? i don’t. this is my hometown but seoul became my home. i feel like i don’t belong here. +
